My experience was very bad as they added a giant surcharge that wasn’t meant to be added. They took ages to make the chips and the coffee wasn’t even made so they had to do it all again. The chips as if they where half full in the box and the coffee was watery and leaked everywhere and burned.

Ashton and the others at the renting for paddle boards were so kind and provided a great service. My friends and I had an amazing time 100% recommend.

The food is tasty and the views are spectacular, but the price point makes you spit out all that good food. Still a great establishment.

There is due cause for review. I’m disappointed by numerous things. The OVERPRICED coffee tasted dreggy undertone. Staff didn’t care to bring Fresh Juice (from bottle) that should be $5 (not $9), the menu options also ridiculous prices $23 for bit of Avocado spread on 1 toast w garnish so having ordered their in-house Scones should be $11 (not $17) they were dense, presented 5mins after coffee arrived first, and had to get up and grab wedge of butter! & wasn’t even busy for a monday morning! The amount of food being sold here and the cost of running the staff & place outweighs the figures. Customers that want to come here don’t see the point of +$6 side of flippin bacon or 1 extra egg. Kids need to be in a childrens section as well with respect. Thx

Seems like their boats always have some issues.

Booked to hire a boat twice and both times our trip was cancelled because of an engine problem. Seriously? The first time at least we got a voucher, the second time just an apology and even though I told them that this was already the second time this happed, they did not even get back to me and just ignored my message! Very disappointing.

Service is always shocking. Beautiful place and they rely on the location. But the coffee shack is manned by young people who have obviously gone out the night before. We usually wait 20 mins for a coffee.you get enough business to pay you staff to actually serve!

5 stars for happy hour experience. Walking from Taronga Wharf to the Spit today & stopped for $6 Sauvignon Blancs! Best walking beverage? No, but the wine is good, location is pretty, and it’s Thanksgiving! Skip Ripples on the track and go here from 2-4: 00.

Nothing beats the ambiance and the view from the outdoor sitting.

One of the places that I visit quite frequently with family. A really good place to enjoy a sunny day with a lazy breakfast. Service here is quite quick and the staff is very friendly.

Ordering on the counter can be a touch tricky as the menu is installed on the wall slightly away from the menu ordering window. They have an e-option to order from the table but we didn’t use that — probably due to lack of awareness. We only saw this when we reached our tables. Finding a table on a sunny weekend can be tricky as most people stay for a casual chat after finishing.

We ordered French Toasted Croissants for then kids, Avo & Tomato on Toast (with Poached Eggs added) and Mushroom Eggs. Off these probably Mushroom Eggs. I really liked the Potato Rosti on the side and the oversized mushroom. French Toasted Croissants were the next. I didn’t like the Toastie as much due to the overly toasted bread which made it quite tough.

Overly a must place to visit with family.

Prices are a touch high.

Be mindful that they start winding down breakfast after 10 - depending on how things run out.

Enjoyed the fish and chips here as well as the grilled Barramundi on fennel salad. One star less because we went with a vegetarian friend and her dish was very dry and the lettuce was just cut up enough for a salad (it was just one half a lettuce.

I do not recommend hiring a boat from here.

They are unorganised and lack courteous customer service. We booked a boat hire a couple of weeks ago and received a confirmation text message the night before the booking. However, after travelling over an hour to the venue, we were told that the boats were out of service and that our booking "should have been cancelled". No effort to contact us was made and we were very disappointed in the way the organisation handled the situation.

We will definitely not be returning.

If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. Very unorganised and poor customer service. Reserved a boat for hire and they weren’t able to provide a boat without informing us before hand.

Was looking forwards to taking my friend out for lunch at the Boat Shed. Such a lovely location, but unfortunately we both have left extremely disappointed with the quality of food. We've ordered the Dory Crunch, and it has come not only overcooked, but actually burnt. The taste of burnt oil was overpowering and we couldn't really eat it. When I've pointed this out to the waitress, instead of replacing the dish or at least apologizing, she's said that this is how it's supposed to be. Did she really think that the middle aged patrons lunching in Balmoral have no idea how the fried fish is supposed to look like? Poor quality food at high price. I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends.

A little bit of a wait to get in. During the weekend you might need to go early as parking is hard to find. You are essentially waiting for a table and then head to the front counter to order. Pancakes were thick and delicious with a good amount of syrup. Eggs and mushroom was a little on the salty side. Eggs were a little over cooked and needed some type of a sauce on the side. Lychee and Berry martini was so delicious, perfect balance of sweetness.

Restaurant situated on the water with parking directly out front providing delicious food and occasional changing menu but can be challenging to find a seat on a weekend when the sun is out. Make sure the wallet is loaded as it will cost you with some hefty pricing.

One of a kind. You might have to wait for 15-45 mins to find a table (Multiple past visits, ALWAYS packed), but worth the wait.

If you're a vegetarian, visit during the breakfast hours, more and better options.
Fantastic food, service & ambience.

Top location and very well themed decor. But the service was poor. Had to ask 3 times about a very simple order (1 coffee, 1 coke and 2 pre made muffins) that came out bit by bit over 20 min and only after prodding. Made worse because the kitchen was closed, so no pressure from that.

Gorgeous! The seafood platter is incredible! And could feed 3-4 people. It was more than enough for 2 people! So so good
