Ballina Byron Islander Resort reviews
50 Reception is warm and welcoming.
The energy of the staff is really refreshing.
Rooms has a studio style set up but is spacious, clean and comfortable.
There is a restaurant at the motel with a good array of options to chose from. All the meals I saw come out the kitchen looked great.
Breakfast and lunch can be pre-ordered with menus and order forms placed in the rooms.
There is also a nice pool at the centre on the complex an easily accessible.
This is is the second time my family and I have stayed here and we had a great stay both times, the staff are so accommodating and friendly! I would definitely recommend!
Wonderful. We booked a private function at the Resort. The managers Greg and Sue and the events manager Brook could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The venue was perfect… professional.and the bar and courtyard areas were perfect for our large group to mill about and relax. The food was excellent.the chef prepares everything on site …service all around was so good. Thank-you from our family for making this day so special for us.
Pollard and Martin families.
Beautiful people very welcoming and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and the food was delicious
Given the disruption of recent floods, the resort has bounced back to something special. Access can be an issue at times being located on a split road. The service was friendly and informative. Our room with a spar was great. The meal from the on site restaurant and chef were too class. The resort gardens and layout reminds me of Fiji.
Amazing accomodation as management are extremely kind and helpful. The rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. Restaurant is fantastic.
Staff were lovely except one blonde lady with glasses working there was so so rude. Everyone else was lovely.
Nice and tidy, bed was too soft for our liking and really not a fan of showers over bathtubs especially when you have to use a bathmat as the bath is really slippery.
I'm rating everything 5 cause the first impression customer service from the front office was just so warm and welcoming
Room was nice and clean and bath for a relaxation.
Even the cleaners / room service ladies were happy and friendly!
Very noisy plumbing. Stayed there last night after a long drive. Couldn't sleep because of horrible plumbing noise everytime the guest next door used their bathroom or tap. Sounded like a jack hammer going off. I cant believe owners put their guests through this.
Great place, nice and clean. Amazing stuffs provided best service. Just the WIFI need a improvement.

What flood? The team have done an amazing job and you would never know it was twice under water in the past year. New carpet throughout and a seriously comfortable bed have really upped the feel of what was already a lovely place to stay.
And the Restaurant! The food was delicious. You've got to try their DESERTS! Soooo good.

More tropical resort than a plain motel. With fresh and modern rooms, large tropical gardens, a beautiful restaurant and funky bar, this family-friendly and conference-ready motor inn will not disappoint.
Nice place, clean and comfortable but not what I consider to be a resort as such. If you’re looking for a resort like the ones in the USA you might be disappointed as it’s a small motel with a pool and restaurant. Resorts I normally stay at have expansive grounds, shopping, sports and recreation facilities in addition to the pool and everything you need on site plus 24hr office but this one was closed when we arrived at 12: 45pm with a note saying come back at 2pm for checkin.
Besides that it was comfortable for our family and the price was reasonable.
Unfortunately no carpets due to the recent floods. Reno's underway and will be a lot nicer when complete.
Great resort that's close to local taverns and shops, pool is great with a spa and you have access to washer and dryer 24/7.
The food is amazing although some may find it pricey and staff are super friendly, definitely would consider coming back.
I visited some friends staying here after the awful Northern NSW Floods. The rooms were a good size. Was well located and easy to find.
The Resort has suffered some damage to restaurant etc due to the floods. Rooms are without carpet.
Proprietors doing best they can under difficult circumstances.
Doing a great job.
We got the spa room Hot water stopped working at night and only cold water in the morning.reception wasn’t able to pay back my holding deposit takes 7 days very disappointed.will not stay again, still had to pay $6 for chocolate I eat considering no hot water I thought I’d at least get a free chocolate I’ll definitely be looking elsewhere next time cold rainy day without hot water an 2 kids.
Nice place to stay. Friendly staff. Fast wifi internet. Try booking with them directly to save $10.
We had a nice stay here & the staff + Zac the brown boarder collie were great. Thanks for having us.
All you need. Clean accommodation, a comfortable bed and good shower. Handy location and restaurant if required. Pet friendly too.
