Bales Park Playground reviews
14There’s a gated playground area for little kids. And open sporting grounds for bigger kids and dogs to run around. I also saw a group of elderly playing lawn ball.
This playground is hidden away in the suburban streets of Chatswood, and is a short 10 minute walk from the shops and station. Situated in Bales Park it is fenced off and offers swings, climbing spaces and room to run around. No shops nearby so you’ll need to pack in all food and drink.
Perfect for toddlers, shady, lovely with a little train that they can take turns pretending to drive. It also has a picnic shelter and barbecue facility- great little park. I wish they kept up a bit more with the upkeep, it could be really pretty if they maintained the area a bit better
Small playground, a little old in places, good for 2 - 6 yrs, but 7-10 will also enjoy for 30mins or so.
Very good fenced playground for young children. Lots of shade for the parents or nannies, like me
Good play park for kids.
Not the type of park I would go to chill out at because it is mostly a sports field and playground.
Great place for k9's & humans, everybody gets along. I've learned it's a pretty cool socialising place for both.
Dog owners need to be picking the dog poo. Many of them don't do.otherwise this park is fantastic.
Even though worn out surfaces and playground, still lots of fun.
Bring a ball to kick around
Small local park with some seats/tables and a BBQ. The play area is small, simple but my little loves any kind of slide! Small circular track for little scooters. Can feel a bit crowded if there are some 'social activities' in the background.
Nice park but not well looked after by the people that use it, litter spread over the playing field and not many people use rubbish bags to tidy up after their pets.
My husband and I (old) go here to walk regularly. Four times round the oval gives us our daily exercise quota. It is like a green oasis in the midst of a residential area and we enjoy watching the children and the dogs all having a good time as we walk.
Great for younger children. Fenced, with a nice slide on the side of a small hill. Swings with safety chains. A small play train and a sand pit. But the climbing equipment is not really appropriate for younger kids - it's a steel frame with no lower platforms. No see-saw, merry-go-round or rope climb.
Great enclosed playground for younger kids with adjoining Sports field for older kids ball Sports and dogs of lead from 3pm to 10am
