Bald Hill Lookout

Such a beautiful place to stop and bring a picnic or even for a quick in and out for a pic & the views! If I lived closer I’d be here more often. Watching the sunset is amazing here.

Stunning view of the cliff bridge and the sea coastal lane. Rain or shine, you will get a unique view.

The location has many parking slots but can get busy on a sunny calm day. Many seatings are there for those who wish to spend time in this majestic view. There are also toilets available here.

The elevation of the site offers spectacular views of the blue Pacific Ocean below. On the south is the cliffside bridge following the shape of the mountains.

The gliders launched from the lawns around the carpark taking advantage of the uplift wind coming from the ocean against the cliffside dotting the sky on a good day. A colour motion picture of its own.

Talking about the carpark itself: there's a lot of space but on a busy day the parking spaces are in very high demand. There's a fly high cafe, public toilets, and quite often a mobile ice cream van to service the carpark.

A great starting point for the Grand Pacific Drive.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Bald Hill Lookout in Stanwell Tops, NSW. The view from this place is simply breathtaking, offering panoramic vistas that will leave you in awe. Not only is the natural beauty stunning, but there's also an added bonus – an ice cream truck right at the lookout! It's the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious treat while taking in the scenic beauty. Highly recommended for anyone looking to savor both the views and a sweet treat! There is fair amount of Parking spots available. But sometimes it is difficult to find a spot and you'd have to wait until a car left.

Breathtaking! Came around 4pm in June, an hour before sunset. It wasn’t cold because of the sun. The toilet paper in the public toilets hasn’t been switched though or I don’t know how to.

Our go to place in Sydney and surround, breathtaking views Pacific Ocean and city of Wollongong.

Great spot and beautiful lookout. Did para gliding with Raffael (Skysurf paragliding) who was a great pilot and four of us who did para gliding with him thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Highly recommend Raffael’s piloting skills and his paragliding services. We will be back again.
