Balaka Falls reviews
51Bit dull place probably better to visit during winter or after some rainfall so more water flow through the rocks and make the waterfall beautiful
Beautiful small hike with waterfall suitable for kids. Took my 1.5yo toddler with no issues
It’s not such of a huge waterfall, rather it’s small but a decent looking waterfall that lies between thin jungle. If you want to spend few hours with the peaceful nature, it is worth it here. It’s quiet, clean and really vibing. Give it a go, you’ll enjoy.
Note there are no toilets, or wheelchair access. It can get slippery when wet. Parking spots are plenty as it is just couple minutes away from road.
Very lovely nature place nearby Carlingford. I was very suprised that this kind of beautiful place is in middle of Sydney. Made two different visits here and after rain falls looks like amazing. If you are nearby, please visit this peacefull place.
Hidden local waterfalls gem. It has several good enuf walking trails. Saw a family enjoying a mini picnic with the waterfall as the backdrop/backgrounds
A beautifully calm place to relax and unwind with a drink or a cup of coffee or a picnic lunch. Listen to the sounds of birds, frogs and other wildlife animals that surround you. Dip your feet in the water and feel the coolness while hearing the water trickling down the rocks. Enjoy the natural surroundings and watch the birds fly high above, see the lizards crawl between the rocks and grass, watch closely as the tadpoles swim around you. Overall a pleasant place to go for a jog among the forest, walk or sit down and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere.
Grew up in the area but never knew this was here. Always interesting to visit new places. Or indeed, to visit places I have been before. Very pleastant experience. Not stressed. Sydney is a very diverse place of cultures and languages. And is surrounded by nearby National Parks suitable for all tastes. The sewer smell mentioned by some people is possibly due to some very old pipes spilling directly into the catchment.
It's a nice waterfall. Visit post showers. It's best after the rain. It's very near to main road. A short 2 minute walk from parking. You can even explore walking trails
It's not about the falls, it's about the track that you do it inside the forest, so nice and easy, and this area is always quite
Nice place to visit but could not explore much due to rain. The smell of water and surrounding took me back to time to my childhood back home.
Very relaxing and easy walk with family/children. There is a rewarding sight with a small waterfall however it will be bigger if u go on days after rainfall. Definitely enjoyable and will do again!
This was a perfect place for a nature lover, I love the place, few min walk and easy access. Can even take kids.only thing you should plan a trip after rainfall.
To rocky for the kids. Went at a time where the water level was low. A local said il"don't swim in that it has sewage run off in it".
Track is great for short walk and weekend unwind. This track is easy walk and great for family as well. There are two entry gates and more entry points to get to the falls. The main track is a loop track which can be completed in 40 min - 1 hour and 15 max.
There is no toilet or drinking water.
Nice place for hiking and walking with family. Great hidden gem in middle of Carlingford. The track is bit short loop around 1.8km. Very good for Kids first bush walk or first hiking experience.
Balaka Falls is a simple and beautiful place that is calm with easy access.
Want to come back when it's flooding to get the best waterfall shots!
Easy walk with children, plenty of access points and there is a small waterfall. It's a calm and serene place to go for a stroll. Depending on which entry you come from there are stairs.
A quiet place in the suburbs, which I imagine would be even better after a bit of rain.
A few people who can't read though, who are walking their dogs with no leads.
So nice to just walk around and enjoy the forest like atmosphere so close to Carlingford. It's a must see.
It is quite the scenic area and I enjoy visiting it to get away from the hussle and bussle of modern day lunch
