Avoca Beach Hotel & Bottlemart

My partner and I just stayed here on the weekend, great place to stay and the staff are very friendly. Room was very comfortable although next time we might get a room where we don't have to climb the stairs! The pool was lovely and refreshing and the chicken schnitty at Saltwater was delicious. The only problem was that I couldn't get connected to the WiFi.but that was a tiny little thing.

We ate dinner there and it was the best burgers we have ever eaten.and friendly staff! Views are amazing

Great place to stay. Great personal service with clean rooms and having the pub close by was an added bonus

The bed was not of a high standard, very uncomfortable. No iron or board. All else was fine. Too far from town.

Great variety of chicken parmigiana, from Texan to Mexican and the old original. Great service to top it off.

Reasonable rooms and rates. Good bushland surrounded location, with Bowling Club and other restaurants nearby. Bathrooms have been updated. Visited again (Oct 22) and stayed in a renovated villa, which added style to the place. There is still a lack of lighting in the main room, and the TV is very small! Facilities could do with a thorough maintenance review to identify and correct faults.

Great place for a family holiday. Kids enjoyed being in the pool. Food / pub / music was great, very welcoming staffs. Rooms were clean and equipped with most of the facilities.
Guy at the reception was very helpful. Nicole from f&B was so nice that my kids even loved her.
We will definitely be coming back.

Food was amazing. Service is incredible. I always order a steak and I think the quality could be a lot better.

The hotel is located on a very large area. The entrance can be confusing. The location says it is on Avoca drive however the reception can be accessed from Townsend Avenue. We had 2 different types of rooms booked. We booked a villa which could be a bit better. The cleanliness of the villa was not great especially the balcony. The room had a mouldy smell which was unpleasant. It did have a kitchen and basic cooking equipment which was definitely a plus.
The other room was a standard room which was very small. The bathroom was a bit small with shower head located right next to a wall making for an awkward shower. The room could use atleast a microwave.
The restaurant staff were good and so was all management we dealt with. The food was good and reasonably priced.
The pool is not heated so useless in colder months. Also it could use regular cleaning.
With a bit more love and care it could turn into a more special place.
Please look into improving the villas considering price. Location is great and short drive from local attractions and Terrigal dining.

Very calm and relaxing atmosphere in the bushes. The rooms are very basic and more like we were glamping than camping. There is a tennis court and two pools. Five minutes from the beach. The breakfast at Treetops café was nice. All in all a nice couple of nights!

Great location, however the food was a little hit or miss. I ordered the fish tacos and I could have made them myself. No real avocado, just straight from a store bought tube. Friends food looked a lot better and they were happy. Will definitely try something different next time!

Food was excellent, classic pub menu but made with great fresh ingredients. Cheese Burger was perfect, couldn't fault it, schnitty was good too, didn't need anything and the verandah is a great spot for lunch

If you are going to stay here go for the terrace over the villa pay that little bit extra and you will be thankful you did we originally had the villa and upgraded to the terrace and was so so much better the staff here are amazing esp the man at reception so lovely and helpful the place could do with some upgrades it had so much potential to be an amazing place but just needs some work and maintenance my nephew enjoyed both of the pools the cafe and restaurant were both amazing just the rooms and the over all facility needs some work

Breakfast was nice, but the accommodation was only ok-ish.

Musty wet smell in all the rooms. No amount of airing could get rid of it. *sigh*.
When we got home, even my clothes had a dank smell. This place was probable quite nice when built, but a serious lack of general maintenance is letting this place down badly.

Thank you Amit for our lovely stay there! We stayed in one of the villas which was great for our family. Amit was friendly and helpful! We love being around trees and birds, which we got. Lovely to wake up to in the morning. We will come bk for another stay.

Wasn't the best experience for us to stay here. Driving up the road towards our room was dangerous, narrow roads and at night it was hard to see those roads. Not sufficient lighting. The stairs to our room was half over grown with plants and no light at all at night. Two out of the four burners on the stove wouldn't light. The washing machine would stop half way through the cycle. Every morning we had to reattach our flyscreen because throughout the night it fell off. The seating at the BBQ is only just holding together, half a rusted bolt left holding up the entire table.the staff were almost oblivious to us leaving, didn't want to talk or even say goodbye. Overall it wasn't a great holiday. Also was promised free wifi.wifi wasn't available in the rooms as promised.
