Australian Opal Cutters and Pearl Divers

I was visiting Australia for a couple weeks and came across this store. I immediately fell in love with their selection of beautiful opals and left with 3 rings.
The service was remarkable. Jason was extremely helpful, patient, knowledgeable and insightful.
I will definitely be visiting Australian Opal Cutters again next time I travel to Australia.

Giovanni helped me choose some stunning opal jewelry to fit my budget. He was patient, very knowledgeable and polite and I never felt rushed during the process even though I only had a little bit of time in Sydney. A+ jewelry and A+ customer service. I felt like a million bucks when I left!

I just stumbled in and wasn't sure what to expect, even if it would be scammers.
Surely it's a store for selling, they show off their high priced jewelry which is their own handicraft, but for me as a student, Giovanni took his time to explain the craftsmanship itself and was happy selling simple unpolished stones for my own use as well.

This is exactly how I wanted my opal shopping experience to go. It was all part of the experience and the information shared was valuable. Well done Australian Opal Cutters!

Jason valued some opals for me, and the experience was educational and enlightening. I found the staff polite and informed, and the store in Pitt St full of character. Quite the contrast to other sterile/vanilla stores in the CBD.

Took my wife, mother, and two daughters in to look at Australian Opals. After the initial oohs and aahs of seeing shiny jewelry, my wife and mother settled in to select out some unique and beautiful pieces. The girls and I were then invited to the back to use tools of the trade to attempt to extract opals from what looked like regular rocks. The girls and I had a blast. I can honestly say it was the best jewelry shopping experience I have ever had.

Today was my first time in an opal cutter store and I absolutely loved it! Prami was soooo friendly, patient and helpful! She explained all the little things that make opals so precious and helped me choose an amazing opal necklace for my mum and some exceptional pearl earrings for my little sister. Unbelievable approachable prices! Highly recommended! ️

Australian Opal Cutters replaced the opal in a pair of earrings. They did a fabulous job! The earrings are stunning again. They stayed in communication with me and were quick to answer my questions. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend AOC more highly! They have the most friendly and helpful staff. I have had so many special pieces custom made by them (including my wedding bands and earrings) and continue to go back time and time again for more because the quality and craftsmanship is so outstanding and the attention to detail, unmatched.

Going into the shop is an education and a pleasure. Jason is very friendly and fantastic to deal with and will show you exactly the style and colour you want to see but is also willing to share the process valuing and finding those hidden gems at good value. Even when Jason isn't there his friendly staff will serve you in the same manner.

Amazing service and people who showed us the opals very clearly and expertly. Showed the process how they cut and polish the opals thoroughly and all round great experience with people who know what they are doing and are very kind and respectful. Would recommend to all of those who are interested in buying and learning about opals.

I went to buy an Opal souvenir. I got a great Opal stone, so pretty to look at. Furthermore I had a great master class about Opals by Giovanni. He was so honest and genuine about the prices and quality. Happy:)

My fiancée and I live in Canada, and were connected to Australian Opal Cutters by my father being a friend of Graeme and Jason Blaiklock. Despite the 18 hour time difference, Jason was always prompt to answer any questions we had and was always happy to set up a quick Zoom call throughout the design process. We felt so well taken care of, and were amazed by the fact that the CEO could make so much time for us! The finished engagement ring and weddings bands are absolutely gorgeous and so perfect for us; I couldn't imagine a better way to celebrate our relationship. Thank you so much Jason and everyone there! I would recommend this company to ANYONE!
