On 8-1-2018, I bought a hat for a gift that unfortunately my friend already had. I returned to the shop 1 hr later to return/exchange it but the person in charge of the shop was very rude and refused to do it. Lucky enough I had a trip planned to Brisbane and visited one of the Australia Gift shops at Queens Mall and what a difference: the team there was very pleasant & helpful and exchanged the hat without any problems.
A huge thank you to Glenda for great service. I contacted the Brisbane City store by phone initially to try and source a very popular, sold-out-everywhere Commonwealth Games commemorative item for our baby son. Although his store was also out of stock, Laurie (Queen St store) went the extra mile after I had gotten off the phone from me to track the item down at their Byron Bay store and rang me back with the details. I was then able to contact Glenda - who was very friendly and helpful, to arrange for the items to be posted same day. EXCEPTIONAL service across both stores. With Laurie (Queen St store) and Glenda (Byron) working in tourism-related stores like this, our visitors will get the best impression possible of our country and service standards when they encounter these two gems.
