Aurae Design

Aurae’s professionalism started showing itself from the start of their engagement as our architects. Eliza gave me a questionnaire which included the very interesting question of what we liked and disliked about our current house. Eliza also sent us Council’s Development Control Code showing what the design issues were. We gave Eliza a floor plan for a similar house in the street but I was pleasantly surprised that she came up with a better house design within the same Floor Space Ratio and site dimensions. We had a number of one on one design discussions with Eliza and it was a great opportunity to discuss how to design our “dream” house, a once in a lifetime opportunity. Eliza has liaised very well with the interior designer and the builder and Council. She has been innovative in getting the best design outcome from constraints imposed by Council. Eliza also organised competitive quotes from consultants. We believe Aurae is very reasonably priced in relation to the professionalism of their services. We have extended Aurae’s initial design contract twice, in relation to also submitting the Development Application to Council and ongoing liaison and site inspections during the build.
