- Long wait times. Even though you're told it won't be long.
Leaving you hungry while you wait.
- You will be forgotten about. Left waiting.
Zero care, little empathy
- Job is done poorly, needing to be redone later.
Shortcuts taken. Rushed job.
- When you're taken into the wards, people come, you'll need to re explain everything. Sometimes someone will show up to then just leave, clueless in what they were supposed to do.
Whatever is the quickest option, they will take
Recommended to bring plenty of water and snacks.
If you can avoid coming to this hospital, that's the best decision you will ever make.
One of the worst hospitals in Sydney the wait times are ridiculous even when no one is in the waiting room. Time management by the staff here is some of the worst iv ever experienced.
My family had surgery and the staff were marvellous.
Food could be improved but that not ever a problem cause friends and family always bring in enough food to feed a village.
Parking was great in the evening cause the boom gates were open.free convenient parking!
The nurse at triage nurse station named Sam was HORRIBLE. Being here tonight for over 3 hours and try to ask her whether we are the next and she instantly went into a fight with me. All the other staffs were polite and respectful but not her. Sitting in the front desk and unwilling to answer any questions from the patient. AVOID HER IF YOU CAN
Ok, from my experience in Auburn hospital since 2009.
My experience in the emergency section, I’ve experienced some angry staff and one racist nurse.
Today my wife went to hospital and they did a blood test, they told her it will take 2 h for the results. 2 h later sorry we can’t get the result because the machine doesn’t work we sent your blood test to Westmead hospital! Now she has to wait couple of hours to get the results from Westmead hospital.that’s really nice
Welcome to Auburn hospital
The doctors and midwives in Auburn Hospital are brilliant, their post-natal support was awesome - private suite with meal and 24/7 support service; Jane, Youi, and others were very skilled, informative, and friendly.
Extremely poor experience not sure whom to blame staff or Government. Just for 1 week diagnosis they took 4 months and still going on.
Incredibly rude staff.
Waited 5 hours to be put in a broken chair that I cut my hand on, and refused a bed even though i was told i would be getting surgery either in the morning or the next day.
Then assaulted by one of the nurses when they were basically ripping the canular out of my arm.
Worst expereince ever. As usual long hours wait. Waited 2 hrs extra though i had an oppointment
All the review telling liar, I have seen myself me and few other people waiting more than 6 hour here, they have plenty staff but only one doctor how come emergency only have one doctor, and nurse doesn’t look after the patient either, keep telling the patient wong be long another half and hour but is not true even me I have to wait almost 6 hour and nothing happen,
Prime, clean, new, organised hospital. I was very well welcomed and Dr Ryan O’Keefe and Dr Paul Simon Chan with their team were exceptional during my index finger surgery. Receptionist was super careful and attentive while getting my details.
Terrible attitude even when she realised she called the wrong number. What is wrong with the reception of the hospital?
Waiting time is too long and when asked the nurse watz happening she says no bed available.
The worst part is no ETA and no proper response from the staff
I went to emergency dept on Sunday morning with a possible fractured hand and other minor injuries. I was admitted pretty quickly for scans and to treat my injuries. I was referred to a hand specialist the next day (Monday morning), and had corrective surgery on Wednesday afternoon. The whole process including the doctors and nurses has been very professional, efficient and friendly.
Last year, I gave a birth in Auburn hospital. We stayed for three days. One morning, my baby was crying and I was seated on the bed, a nurse came in and said" In Australia, we will not just let the baby cry. " which she didn't know is my baby cried for whole night and I didnt even rest before she came in. Now I know this is typical MUM SHAMING.
Lazy staff in emergency. Sat for hours with my 89 year old mum with suspected infection and overload while nurses ready to go off for the night running away from me passing their work to the next staff. I’m appalled!
The nurses, doctors and all hospital staff went above and beyond they really are a great team and happy to have been looked after them
I went for because I was dehydrated and i had food poisoning. The lady in the receptionist was so rude and unprofessional. Then when the lady took me inside, she first get a Covid test I got negative, then she did a second one, and it came positive, I don’t have the symptoms of covid I was only throwing up and I had a sore throat. Then it turns out that I have Covid. When I clearly had food poisoning. When you treat someone bad, expect the same back.
I took my friend to this hospital and the lady (nurse lady, the one with whom we need to consult first before going to second one in the reception) has no manners to deal with the patients. The way she spoke to us so rude and she looked so annoyed to explain. That’s your job to explain the customers that’s is the reason you are there. Being nurse is not a big thing anyone can study and get that knowledge but to become a good human will take forever for you.
She was like you are international student right are you willing to pay this $. I was willing to pay that’s the reason I was there but the way she spoke to us and explained to us that the doctors will just give you one medicine that’s it.
So rude, so mannerless lady
I can only speak of my own experience in the Day Surgery unit Level 3, & have to say that from the moment I arrived to register to when I left the hospital that evening, that it was an amazing experience because everyone was so kind and helpful…. I couldn’t ask for more……. The nurses, anaesthetists, doctors, porters etc were very pleasant and the hospital itself was clean as a whistle. This is the only time I have attended this hospital but would have no hesitation going back there for another procedure. Well done Auburn Hospital!
