$180 to dismantle an vintage m/cycle speedo and tacho and diagnose impossiblo. Then $300 to disassemble and test an ebay derived speedo, recommend full rebuild, so another $330. Fully tested speedo when finally rebuilt was very poorly damped flapped +- 10mph from real speed. Then after 800 miles it completely crashed, nil response at any speed. So more than 6/8 of 9/10th of sweet FA for $840. Don't waste your time with this 'technician'.

Absolutely fantastic, the instrument cluster on my 2001 BMW Z3 had lost the digital readout and the gauges were going crazy. After searching for a replacement cluster both new and second hand I found there were none available locally or overseas. I finally found Ben after much searching who was willing to have a look at my unit and was perfectly honest with what the outcome could be. Fortunately for me he had the knowledge and skill to be able to diagnose the problem and repair the cluster. Thanks for a very professional job.

Dropped my Mustang instrument cluster off to Ben the other week for full restoration and recondition of all components. Final product was absolutely flawless and couldn’t be happier with the result. Ben had repaired my VL Commodore cluster with a faulty fuel gauge and custom taco set up to suit a modern LS engine conversion. Top quality repairs. Will recommend to anyone doing an engine conversion. Definitely a hard trade to find these days. Well done.

I recommend Attspeed if you want to get ripped off! You can never confirm how much time is spent on your car, you have to rely on Ben's word. I strongly believe that Ben drastically inflates his hours work on your vehicle for personal gain. Working on cars my hole life I have a good idea of how long things take to do. It seams that being an expert in his field, he can not diagnose problems quickly!

Recently took my 80 series Landcruiser in to get the Speedo and odometer fixed. After countless places turned me back, Ben squeezed me in late notice, diagnosed the problem, and did the repairs the same day and I drove the car home that afternoon. Ben's service and workmanship was exceptional. Top quality work by a top bloke. Ben is super friendly and great with communication, he kept me updated with the car's progress throughout the day so I could make arrangements to pick it back up. Highly recommend!

Absolutely awful service.
Contacted this company today to let them know that my fiat ducato's (2009) instrument cluster display a total of 399999 without being able to clock up anymore kms on the cluster.
I've found this problem online on countless forums, in which I told him. He replied saying that it's impossible for that to occur and that he doesn't care what I've read anywhere online.

Very professional service, they tell you what’s possible, what isn’t, they do what they say; they do the job in the time they say and are very communicative and professional. Just a little family business, however, you must be prepared: if you want excellent service you have to pay for it and this does not come cheap however the word cheap is not a word you can use in any context with these guys and they will not take any shortcuts or do a cheap quick job to get you out of trouble - it has to be done properly or not done at all. I highly recommend Ben and the team! We’ll be back!

Best customer service from a mechanic and receptionist, I've ever seen. The Speedo & overdrive stopped working on my imported Hiace. After being recommend to Attspeed I booked the car in. The Speedo/over d was repaired back to its normal function quicker than I expected. I would definitely return, if I ever need this type of specialist in the future.

Sent Ben the cluster out of my 2003 Ti Patrol never thought I would ever find someone to fix it but he bought it back to good as new I can't thank him enough for such a professional job

Fixed my cluster and got all the gauges working at a pretty decent price, explained everything in detail and also told me that I could have a signal issue from the speed sensor itself, turns out he was right and once replaced speedometer now reads accurately

Took my instruments for a yellow needle gts dash to be check and be calibrated to work with electronic ignition. The charge I foolishly accepted was in excess of $2500. As working on project car I did not fit for more than 12 months. Oil and temp guage did not work so took the unit out and took it back to Attspeed. First thing the guy told me was that he couln't warrant this as it was too long since he did the original work. I said I need it fixed and will pay. He checked it and assured me there was nothing wrong with it. He did not charge. Refitted unit still did not working. Tacho also had intermitten fault. Put an earth directly on back of unit and still no reading. Took it out of dash - hard job- again along with the tacho and took it too Airco in Kingsgrove. They found a bad connection in 4 cluster instrument (oil temp, fuel and alternator). Airco fixed that and same for Tachometer. All works great now. Airco charged all up about $400. Just wish I found them before Attspeed

He charged me $120 to have a look at my speedo.he then said he charges $120 per hour. He wanted to charge me $465 just to fix the odometer and wanted a cash sale.

Took care of my Xr5 and diagnosed it well. Was pretty understanding with the price too. Ben there is a good bloke
