Astley Pharmacy and Mobility Pennant Hills

The pharmacist here is the one of the gratest persons I met, the medication I was looking for was not available and she checked with multiple places around the area and found me place where I can get it. It was a great relief for me at that time. Thank you very much for your time and effort. You are the Pharmacist,

Paid for a click and collect order 6 weeks ago. Never had any contact from the company after paying to say it was ready for collection. I raised a dispute and contacted them through their website and never received any response. Money was paid to them but they have never given me my items or even bothered to respond to me at all! Really poor service, avoid!

We have paid and waited 1 week for a speciality hospital bed we rented from here for my dad who is in end of life care. The bed was due to be delivered today. You guys gave taken our money but now told us you have delivered the bed to someone else. Absolutely not good enough. When you have someone in these circumstances I don't know how you can mess up this bad. We will be filing a consumer complaint.

After a day of searching various pharmacies and the Internet, we ended up at Astley Mobility and Pharmacy at Pennant Hills.
They had the Air Walker (moon boot) and crutches I needed in stock. The staff were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and tolerant. The prices were reasonable. I was so impressed that I ended up also purchasing a KCare Seat Walker.
I found the products and service provided by the Pennant Hills store to be exceptional. I would highly recommend them if you’re looking for mobility aids. If I ever need anything like this again I’ll be going back there. Unfortunately they’re just a little too far away for my general pharmacy needs.

I spent $120 in the store, received a wrong over the counter medicine for my mum. I called the store next day, a lady said I could replace it, I drove to the store then she refused the replacement because it is used a sachet. The pharmacy made huge money and had no sympathy on senior citizen in this difficult time. I would never shop here again.

I recently had an unpleasant experience at Astley. Myself and a senior who was with me bought multivitamins which included a seniors discount.
Then in a separate transaction we bought a dietary product for seniors. I checked and found the seniors discount had not been given. (as it had been in the past for this product). When I queried this, the Senior pharmacist, and the senior shop assistant said that they were not sure if the seniors discount applied to this product.
When I asked which products the seniors discount applied to, I was simply told that it did not apply to chocolates or products already on special. (not relevant to our case).

I was told we’d have to come back and speak to the younger pharmacist tomorrow, and he may give the discount
(about $10)

We stated that all of this was quite unusual, and that it would be far too inconvenient to drive back and speak to the other pharmacist. Unfortunately the attitude of the two staff members we spoke to was quite dismissive.

I will not personally, be having any further dealings with this pharmacy. This is sad because some of the other staff, such as the Young male pharmacist David, are very pleasant indeed.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and even recommended a product that was cheaper than the one I was planning to buy as it was more suitable. That's service!

I've always received the best service from the pharmacist there, David. He is knowledgeable but humble. My partner always seeks out his advice on drugs when she wants to learn more.

NEW PHARMACIST? NEW OWNER?

I recently had a very positive experience here, as someone who works in healthcare I do have some expectations as to what constitutes a high level of service in the industry. I was attended to by a young male pharmacist who was out in the shop dealing with a number of customers simultaneously; as my issue was somewhat complicated I felt it pertinent to seek professional advice and thought it best I speak to him directly.
The young male pharmacist was attentive, knowledgeable and non-judgmental in his dealings with me. He seemed to genuinely want the best outcome for my situation and gave me pertinent advice and also possible treatment options and the pros and cons of each, all of which was conducted in a timely and sensitive manner whilst juggling requests from other customers and somehow keeping everyone happy.

I was impressed with the service, but have to admit, that my recent experience was in STARK contrast with TWO prior dealings with the pharmacy in the last year or so, in both situations I had to consult with an older pharmacist (he was a much older “gentleman”. Using the term loosely…possibly the owner?) whose customer service could at best be described as quite lacking. Honestly I thought his attitude and behaviour wasn’t appropriate to the workplace in general, let alone a retail healthcare setting. I had not planned on coming back.

However, I am glad that I did return and my recent experience was definitely worthy of a 5 star rating.

I have just had a wonderful experience at Astley Pharmacy and Mobility.

I was looking at mobility aids for a relative, the service I received was excellent.

The lady that served me, showed so much compassion and her knowledge was fantastic.

They had a huge range of mobility items and she explained what would make my relatives life

a little easier. I found their prices to be very reasonable.

I would definitely recommend this store.
