First visit and the chicken schnitzel were enormous and very tasty. Will be visiting again soon.

Great little club, nice restaurant but sadly the greens are under used if used these days. Used to be full of people playing bowls all the time but sadly the old guard has died off and no young ones to take their place which is sad.

Probably the best parmi and schnitty I've ever had in my life! And I've had a lot. Serving portions are so generous, great price, great atmosphere, we loved it! Will definitely be back for another feed

By far one of the best clubs in the inner west! The food is fantastic, every meal we have had here has been fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and welcoming and you can’t go past a $7 pint! Highly recommend for any catch up with either friends or family, 5 stars!

Definitely a little gem. This is my first time here. My barramundi dish was the most deliciously tasty meal I have had in a long time, and mums roast lamb shank was so unbelievably soft. We will definitely be back next weekend. I'm sold! 10 out of 10!

WOW! That experience was AMAZING! Great staff. I was torn between the T-bone steak or the ribs. Went the T-bone. Cut them themselves and only ever have a rare cook. Absolutely spot on! Their slaw is incredible and the baby chat potatoes were perfectly cooked and the mushroom gravy was perfect. Beers are cold and affordable. What a great place!

If you're looking for a fun night out with friends or family, the bistro at the Ashfield Bowling Club is a great option. The food is definitely a highlight, with a variety of dishes that are both tasty and filling. However, it's important to note that some of the prices can be a little high, so be prepared to spend a bit more than you might expect.

The Ashfield Bowling Club's facilities are generally in good condition, with well-maintained lanes and equipment. However, one area that could use some improvement is the restrooms. They could benefit from some updating and more regular cleaning to ensure they are up to par.

Despite the restroom issue, the bistro at the Ashfield Bowling Club is definitely worth a visit. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making the experience all the more enjoyable. Overall, if you're in the mood for some good food and fun bowling, the bistro at the Ashfield Bowling Club is a solid choice.

A great location and the addition of outdoor tables is great but the bistro needs more staff. Other bowling clubs, like Liechardt, Petersham and even Briars Sports Club do great with young families in the inner west as they have lunch from 11am. This was advertised as open for lunch at 12 but they were short staffed on the day we went so we couldn't order until 1.30. Luckily I had snacks and avoided a toddler meltdown! This place has alot of potential but is targeting the wrong daytime audience.

They do trivia night on a Wednesday (7pm) and it’s always so much fun! Great spot to hang out with friends:)

Picture the worst hump day you can imagine. A Wednesday straight out of hell. Trains are delayed, boss keeps giving it to you, you tried a new lunch spot instead of getting the same thing you always get and it was a huge letdown.

The rain starts pouring down around 5: 05pm and you know the commute home will be awful, do you go home? No! You head to Ashfield bowling club, literally a shining beacon of comfort and light on a dark and cold night.

The bowlo is warm and well appointed, plenty of seats and plenty of friendly staff. You get a VB on on tap because you are an Australian hero.

About two beers in and you feel like some pub grub so you grab a menu and have squizz. Plenty of menu options with all your favourites, heaps of gravy, chips are chunky, crispy and salty (i.e. Perfect).

You decide against getting the parmi because your mum was half listening to the Dr Norman Swan podcast the other day and with no scientific backing has decided she's off cheese (and so are you) so you choose a burger instead.

Expecting the lean beef tower of Pisa you are pleasantly surprised. Much like yourself going through puberty this burger is wide not tall! A true pub burger, not stacked to the gills with cod knows what fancy American burger accoutrements but simple lettuce, tomato, onion, sauce and meat. And it all comes together into a delicious, almost religious, experience.

You finish your burger and are about to leave when you're stunned like a roo in headlights. The music starts up and you prepare your "thank you" speech. But calm down friend! This isnt the Oscars, this is a real night of nights, Wednesday pub trivia. People are handing out booklets and pens like it's going out of style.

After picking your two double points rounds and picking a terrible, awful, no good trivia name you start to listen to the questions. Unlike you job where you're at times a bit slow, occasionally incompetent or downright criminally negligent - at pub trivia you're a genius! A god. The god of knowledge, and beer.

You knowledge runs so deep you come third, snagging yourself a $20 voucher and a tacit expectation that you will be back at trivia the next week to do it all again with the new friends you've made. Maybe you'll bring some friends next week instead of drinking alone like some kind of BuzzFeed 'article' writer.

Took some visiting family here last night, was blown away by the food. Everyone loved their meals and we had a cross section of vegetarians / carnivores / kids.

This place would thrive with a a bit more stuff to do for the youngsters.

Definitely coming back though!

We booked this for lunch + lawn bowling for my partners birthday. The club was bustling even at lunch time on a sunny day. I had chilli prawns linguine and it was delicious. Just the right combination of chilli and creamy. They didn't skimp on the prawns which is a big yes.
The lawn bowls experience was great too. Unlimited hours for $10. Staff was very friendly and overall the place had a very good vibe.

Hidden gem in the inner west. Love that is not too big and pretentious. Did is amazing and the portions are huge! Staff seem friendly enough, love seeing all the locals who are super friendly and add charm to the place. My only criticism would be something to entertain the kiddies like some crayons and books, or abc kids channel on, or even a designated area with a few toys. I see alot of kids up here so I think it would be beneficial. But in saying that the kids can run on the green which is good, everyone is super chill.

Sophia helped us to get a last minute booking for a 40 person event after another venue cancelled on us 2 days out. Fantastic communication and she went above and beyond to put a special grazing platter together for our guests.

The Bowlo itself is fantastic. Friendly staff and locals, cheap drinks and fantastic food put on by Sophia and her husband in the bistro.

They organised tables and marquees for us.

Dog friendly too, so thats a bonus!

Thanks Sophia and team ABC!

Great place for food and drinks. Incredibly generous staff, comfortable layout and good places to sit in or out.

Not a wide variety for the menu but each dish is prepared very well! Sure to satisfy anyone.
