Edit: I bought an opulent pair of Maui prescription sunnies and received excellent service as per usual. This is my go-to optometrist.

Edit: my wife went to Antonello, she needed glasses. She suffers less headaches and eye strain is now in the past. She also had a very nice range of frames to choose from and she looks beautiful in glasses.

Edit: took the child of a friend who had been poorly diagnosed by an ophthalmologist. She now has glasses and the correct diagnosis. Thank you.

Original: Great customer service, great selection of frames, much better than your average optometrist because he and front of house are thorough. I went here after years going to a different franchise and the difference is huge.

Excellent man! One of my eyes went suddenly squiffy, After examination he diagnosed a vitreous detachment, common in people my age. He suggested I return in four weeks, lest a retinal tear develop. On that follow-up visit he determined that a tear had indeed developed. He immediately secured me an emergency appointment with an eye surgeon, and five hours later my eye was zapped to seal the tear. His prompt diagnosis and action pretty much saved the sight in one of my eyes.

Shocked & appalled! Worst service ever from the woman who works there! She spoke abruptly over the top of me and treated me as though I was a nuisance who was bothering her. I had stopped in to politely ask, as a potential new customer, for repairs, new frames and testing. I was dismissed and treated poorly and will obviously never attend this business or recommend it to others. Unbelievable! I don't know how they even have a business at all with such awful staff greeting people.

I have been wearing glasses for 30 years and have used many different groups/optometrists. I now live in Adelaide and whilst visiting a daughter in Sydney, in need of new glasses, and locally shopping I happened upon Antonello Palmisani. I was extremely impressed with his checkup/examination of my eyes and very happy with Kathy's advice, help and knowledge re choosing frames. In future I will be returning to this shop for my glasses.

I've been going to a major optometrist forever and finally had enough of the short consultations and poor communication.
On a trip to Leichhardt, I walked into Antonello's shop. I tried on a pair of glasses and Tran, front of house, wrote the serial number on a business card for me.
I returned a month later, met Katherine and she helped me to find the pair again, and also a different, more appropriate pair for work. I was very pleased with her direct manner, her honesty and thoroughness.
The consultation with Dr Palmisani was thorough, and he took time to explain everything in detail and find the correct script for me. He told me his assessment of my eyes, explained things to me in so much detail that other optometrists I've seen have never done. I could go on for paragraphs.
I highly recommend you visit this optometrist if you need one. Excellent customer service, no nonsense, honest, thorough and detailed.

Update: took my niece here for a second opinion. Antonello was thorough, clearer when explaining what he found. He was great with the small child and myself and her mother were well pleased with how he has helped. A further five stars.

Antonello is an highly experienced and professional optometrist.
Very helpful and dedicated to his business and customers. Highly recommend this business. Great value prices, and quality choice of frames and specs. Five stars.
