Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre reviews
83Great place for the kids. Indoor outdoor pool plus outdoor water playground for the kids. Great management and team. Guards are always vigilant.
It's so much better since Bayside Council took over the management of this site since July 2023.
Would give an extra star if Council could please install a sauna!
One of the better swimming pools around here. Showers can get quite busy so need to plan around timing for kids
Window panes, gates are dirty and not clean, it used to be pristine clean before. Customer service dropped drastically.
The facility is relatively new around the area. However the management is very poor, full of attitude. In here you will feel that they don’t care what you think and how you feel, because they are working for the council now and what are you going to do? One of the lifeguard is peculiarly rude, and the manager is basically doing nothing. Also there can be 6 kids in one swimming class for half hour!
My partner getting hassled and harassed by young men is not on and the life guards doing nothing about it definitely won’t be back!
Great pool and gym, although does close early for a gym. Hopefully in future, the trading hours can be extended for later gym goers.
NOT HAPPY JAN!
The facilities are great but the swimming classes are extremely inflexible with make-up lessons.
I am super annoyed that I could not cancel my son's lesson 30 minutes before the lesson. Staff just simply said "nothing I can do about it as the system locks us out two hours before the lesson".
Management needs to update business practices to be more emphatic and flexible. Very poor form.
This used to be the best pool but has become barely useable for anyone who wants to swim laps. For some bizarre reason they decided to close the nice outdoor pool at 3 pm on the weekends and the indoor pool is far too hot for swimming. Any available lanes are taken up by people who selfishly swim slowly down the middle of the "fast" lane. I won't be coming back unless they sort themselves out. Really disappointing as there are less and less options for people who want to swim laps for exercise.
We always have a great time here at the pools and the outdoors! The bucket outside is our faaaavvvvvv ️ the customer service and the staff are amazing!
Absolutely top notch centre, beautiful facilities and the most amazingly friendly staff I’ve ever come across at a public swimming pool. Special mention to Ali who was so accommodating to our water polo team when we were training for a tournament. He was very polite, went above and beyond his duty and super friendly. Wish all pools had Ali on their staff!
This facility is a hidden gem. Frontline staff at reception are always so pleasant & Ali on pool deck was on the job for our team setting up our goals & checking in with us that all was ok. A big thanks to Aaliya behind the scenes with arranging our pool space & being a great communicator. We didn’t get to bring home the gold but our sessions at the centre certainly helped us manage a 3 games a day tournament. Silver isn’t that bad & we are all still smiling. Thanks to all of you - we can’t wait for another tournament & will certainly be returning to the centre.
Started going to do some hydrotherapy for my knee and brought my niece. Friendly staff at the reception especially and in the cafe. The lifeguards always helpful and gave my niece a kick board to play with. Had a toastie and chips with nuggets. Nice to feed the kids with. My niece really wanted to play in the splash pad but it's too cold and staff advised it would be open in the summer.
There's two pools, one indoor which is heated and one outdoor which is not. The inside pool max.height is 1.37m and is suitable for children. There's stairs but also a ramp that most of the smaller kids play in, even though there's plenty of kids never too crowded.
The 5 star reviews are from adults. This is not a child friendly pool. My friend with a baby gushed about it, saying the water was so nice & warm - which it was. I saw the pictures of the splash park online & decided to give it a try. We got there, it's school holidays, winter is over, and it's closed.why? I've already paid unfortunately so we decide to go for a swim, only to discover there is no actual kids pool. The kids get a few lanes roped off in the inside pool. So the little ones have to stay on the steps or the disabled ramp as the "shallow" end is 1.2m. My under 5 received a special bracelet designed to remind you as a parent don't let this kid out of your reach. They didn't ask if my 6 year old could swim.lucky for me I packed her flippers & noodle as she's an ok swimmer but it wasn't enjoyable time for me having to constantly fret about 3 kids in a non kid friendly pool. Spoke to another parent there with 4 kids having the same issues. We ended up leaving when my kids complained the high level of chlorine was burning them. Tried to make a happy ending to the story when they asked for chips but the deep fryer was down facilities were nice & I could always see a lifesaver which was great. Staff couldn't clearly answer when the splash park was open & there's nothing online to let you know so sorry but my kids have already decided they never want to come back, our usual public pool is much better!
Swimming lessons are below average. They just go through the lesson steps, they don't attempt to teach and coach kids into improving. 2 lessons at another school, our child (5 years) is swimming width of pool and is also proficient with kickboard. 2 years of wasted lessons and time.
Good. Clean. Friendly staff. Not too busy. Parking sometimes full but there is street parking around the back.
This swimming pool has the best chips in Sydney!
Seriously punching way above its weight. And this is compared to expensive restaurants! Bexley Pool chips beats them all.
Great place for kids swimming lessons and free swimming! The outside splash park is also a bonus!
The only downside is when they don’t open the windows inside and the indoor pool area feels like a sauna and having to breathe the chlorine smell while waiting for swimming lessons to finish.
I did not know there was such a relaxing place around my area. I will now be a regular customer in this place. Indoor and outdoor swimming pool was so clean and water was so warm. I loved this place. Highly recommended.
It was my first visit and i felt worth of it. The temperature even in outdoor swimming pool was perfect which is the best part i feel. It is very good place to relax so definitly coming back again.
