What an amazing place for all things book binding, book repairs and artist book making. Wonderful assistance with my enquiries.

I live in England and my son and family live in Sydney and recently he took delivery of our age old family Bible which was not in a good state at all. To preserve this heirloom, it was decided to have the Bible restored to its 'former glory' and so on his research, my son found Andersen's Bindery and so arranged a consultation to see if the Bible could be restored. The lady whom my son contacted, explained in detail what could be renewed and how the finished product would look. There was a lot of time taken in planning, preparation and intricate work which did take several weeks to complete, though there was no urgency. We could not be more satisfied and happy with the final outcome and finish. Every part, such as some of the turned over corners of the pages had been renewed as well as the spine of the Bible being reinforced. It was also kept to its near original appearance with the front page, holding family signatures, being preserved. It is now good to know that the Bible will have a longer life span and kept for posterity. Thank you very much for your excellent pains-taking work and skills, whilst ensuring nothing was amiss and the end desired result was just what we wanted and had received. All admired and appreciated.

Once i touched the doornob, something like electrical shocked me and while opening the shop door i found myself travelled 200 years back, at the disk a radio playing enchanting classic music, the warmwhite lighting, i wish that i could spend the whole day in that beautiful place, and i will not refuse if they invite me.

Mum passed away last year and one of her old cook books was of huge sentimental value to us. However it was falling apart and crumbling and wasn’t going to last much longer.
