Over 2 months since claim for my passed son submitted by the claims dept to the trustee for payout. Multiple phone calls and emails to the claims dept for update have never been returned or responded to. Seems they hold onto the money for their own investments and taking of monthly fees. Formal complaint submitted awaiting result. I’m dealing with several other super funds for my son and daughter in law (died in the same incident) and this fund is by far the worst. My advise to anyone with this fund is move or if you’re considering this fund, reconsider.

I went homeless before my total permamnent disability payment went through. Sending wrong documents to fill out, wasting everyones time, doing all sorts of things just so i couldn't get my money and now i can't get a rental either. Thanks guys! Love your work

AMIST Super has become a poor to very poor fund. You can not get information when you ring the hot line. When you ask about investments and staff payments, you get we cannot tell you that or I don't know. But you can not get to some one can let you know. I have been with AMIST for over Thirty years but would not recommend AMIST to any one sandly.

Their website to check your account is terribly slow if it even works at all, if they operated at bank they would be broke yesterday with such terrible customer service

This so called company is an absolute disgrace, do not use them. If you are with them GET OUT. No binding benificieries available, even if you have it in your Will and a signed letter stating where you want the Super to go. They will make their own minds up and do what they feel. Total crooks. Be warned!

Just would like to say that I have found Luke, at AMIST, to be quite professional. He was polite and helpful and emailed me the forms for Early Release of my super within minutes and explained everything in detail. I spoke to Luke again when AMIST received my originals and it took only ONE week to have my monies in my account.
This is the second time that I had to have my super released early and I never had a problem.

Ruthless and a pack of liars. My wife passed away in Feb 2018 and it's now June 2021 and still haven't been paid 5 cents from here super fund let alone her life insurance attached to her fund. Each time I ring there is some BS about needing a signature signed on a deed from their own internal trustee. Can't even talk to someone from the claims team regarding an update. They are ruthless and well best stand clear of this fund.

I have been waiting for a call back from one of your insurance team for the past 2 wks now I have emailed an called an I'm NOT getting any answers I have been waiting on a death claim for the past 5 mths objections thru amidst an now thru afca the otha party have not put in any so the process of payment should have been done buy now but NOOOOO still waiting on a answer from the trustees for what I have no idea BAD experience

The worst superannuation ever. Almost a year and I'm still waiting for them to release my partners super to me. Firstly I get a letter stating that i am 100% financial dependent. Had to wait 28 days. Then i get a letter stating someone object to the claims. Then my lawyer fights the case and wins and then i get a second letter saying again I'm 100% financial dependent and have to wait 28 days. 28 days is up and I don't see any money being transferred. I haven't even been sent a letter stating what is taking them so long to release the funds. 28 days had expired a week ago. So what is the excuse this time?

I've been with you guys for 7 or 8 years now and for the most part you've been great until today. I just called to check on the progress of my super release and to be completely honest I've never been spoken to so rudely by someone. The woman named Ally that spoke to me has made me want to shop around and possibly go elsewhere: - (

Dealing with these people after the death of a loved one was one of the most stressful, depressing and frustrating things I've ever had to go through. Phone calls aren't answered, rarely will you receive a return call, and when you do, you're unlikely to get any relevant information and simply told to keep waiting. The excuse was basically "everyone is on leave" or "no one is working today", everyday. I had to deal with these people for almost 2 years for a superannuation claim and I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with them in the future.

I've been with Amist for years and years, (God I'm getting old).
And I have dealt with them a couple of times and found them to be very good and professional.

Don’t even bother trying to contact them on their “hotline” you will be hung up on, or not answered at all. 1 hour and counting. This is worse that Centrelink. I feel sorry for the poor soul who does eventually answer.

Whilst they proclaim to be for members, during a recent TPD application they received the payout from their insurer and then proceeded to hang on to the money for six weeks. All phone calls to the claims department were not answered. They have absolutely no customer relations skills. I'm more than grateful that I will no longer need to deal with this super fund.
