Ambo Ars

My daughter referred me to Ambo Ars as she used to go on and on about how wonderful he is. I thought she might have exaggerated a little but tried it out. I have been a client now for almost 3 years and can honestly say that there was no exaggeration from my daughter. Best hair cut/colour I have ever had in my life. It's like visiting a friend. The atmosphere the excellent service and the results are fantastic.
No waiting around for hours. Always right on schedule and best head massage ever. I was a bit hesitant about writing this, as if he has too many clients I won't get in for my appointment LOL.

I have been seeing Zelko and Rebecca for my cut and colour for a few years now and appreciate being able to sit back and relax with a wine or coffee knowing I'm in good hands. If you are seeking excellent coverage of early grey hairs I highly recommend a semi done by Rebecca as it lasts longer than other places I've tried and the dye does not irritate my scalp. Zelko consistently gives me stylish but low-maintenance cuts that grow out really nicely. I recommend going to Ambo Ars if you enjoy a low-key salon, minimal chit-chat, and need reliable quality.

Exceptional salon. Zelko is one of the best stylists I've ever come across. Skilled, precise and creative. My hair is notoriously difficult to cut. He does an incredible job. Highly recommended.

My friend gave me a hair coupon from this place a while ago and the package was far too good to be true. 1st time I had a great cut. 2nd time was the highlights and a semi, I came in with full disclosure that i had use a box dye. I felt confident and reassured after the first visit. I went bright orange. This was the apprentice hairdresser who was taking the voucher clients at the time. She then said 'you look like a sunrise' and all while I was obviously upset. I'm still shocked. No follow up was made even though I said it wasn't right.

I found an amazing hairdresser else where who I have only just started to trust to dye my hair after that experience. One positive about covid was I could let it all grow out then cut off the colour.

Use your own discretion with these vouchers. I will never trust any make over package deal again and even better just to be experience for an apprentice.

In response to the owner: Yes this was the correct salon. The apprentice name was Maddy. This was 2017 and I will admit it's been a long time since the appointment but seeing a new hairdresser to go blonde has flared up my trust issues that were rooted from that experience. I cut my hair short as soon as I could to remove the orange colour and have not coloured it since that day. Since covid I have been able to grow it long enough to start again.

It took me 3 years to find a professional hairdresser in Sydney. Zelco, by far, is the best. You are so lucky to have found him. I send all my friends (both genders) to him. You will be taken care of.:)

Eden was very supportive and consultative from my phone call to visit. I went for quite a change and she tweaked my ask to suit my features and ensured I had the right cut for my lifestyle. Top colourist and stylist, can see this, will be my go to salon, really positive experience.

Booked in my mum (with long, very curly hair) to get her hair done by Eden. She did an amazing job and would definitely recommend her if you want a friendly, skilled stylist for curly hair! Other staff are also very polite and seem to do a good job on their clients

Eden was my hairstylist and did an amazing job with the colour and cut. If you want an experienced stylist who clearly has a handle on colouring and styling, I would highly recommend Eden. Best hairdresser I've come across in years!

Staff were lovely and knowledgeable. An absolutely lovely experience. I walked in with a vague idea of what I wanted. They helped me solidify what I wanted from my hair and achieve a look im thrilled with.

Yes! Come to Ambo Ars! I found this salon when I got an awful colour from another salon, and had to rush (yes, I wore a hat!) to Ambo Ars and request that they fix it asap! Eden was amazing. She did such an amazing job that her 'fix it' job has now become my new fav hair colour and I'm going back next week for the same! Eden also gave me a haircut that has made me waaaay more attractive than the shaggy mop I entered with:)

Don't you hate it when your toilet seat doesn't stay up? I bought a new one from Bunnings and it still won't stay up. Probably because the flusher lid is too wide? I really don't know but it's such a relief when I use a toilet and the seat stays up. Also haircuts or something

Ambo Ars saved my hair this morning. I had an uneven cut from another salon the day before and Ambo Ars managed to fit me in on a busy day to fix my hair. It now looks so great and I am very thankful for their professionalism and care to my hair. I definitely will be returning here again for future cuts.
