Been a customer for 9 years, first signed up by my mother at 14, now I’m 23, the 4g specifically in Oatlands (nsw) is horrendous, constantly slow and calls dropping out in my own home, been happening for years and it’s finally time to move on, unfortunately after many years your data speed/connectivity has not improved in the Oatlands area, and it is now the reason as to why I’m leaving. Happy with everything else but data usage is important to me.

I was looking for a 365 days prepaid plan for my mobile phone as I prefer them, pay once a year and usually at considerably less cost per month than any other monthly plan. I found amaysim's $99 plan with 60gb of data which is enough for me. My only other hurdle was did it operate well on my older Samsung S7 4G phone. Checked with amaysim and yes, it will and it was on a list of suitable phones on their website. So, believing them I signed up and away we went.sms ok, data ok BUT NO CALLS! In or out! Spent a ridiculous amount of time on the phone, not the S7, trying to sort it out but with no success. Frustrating and stressfull and they had my $99. And their advice in the end was to take my phone to a mobile phone technician as it was at fault which I did and guess what, the phone was fine. And it was working fine on the Optus network the day I switched, the same network amaysim boast to be using. Go figure. What the technician and I agreed on though was that my phone and the amaysim /optus network phone capability was no longer functional on my Samsung S7. The information from their website says it is. I call that misleading and now I've got to buy a new phone or go back to my old Optus prepaid plan which has now doubled in price. A lose/lose scenario for me at over double the cost and appears VERY SCAMMY suggesting collusion between optus and amaysim. The best and honest thing amaysim can do is if they can't supply me with a COMPLETE service is remove the claim from their website that Samsung S7's are ok on their network because they clearly are not. Not happy!
16/8/2023. Just received a response from amaysim that they want to help me even more now! But they've tried and tried and have been unable to. Their last comment to me over the phone was " I've done everything I can to help you" and we agreed we should wait till today and I'll decide what to do. Meanwhile they're now trying to intimidate me by sending me an email warning me my plan is about to expire. It's due for renewal August 2024! Read the past conversations amaysim and stop with the silly questions around auto renewal. I've chosen to renew myself, manually. Ok?

Signed onto the service thinking I would get 5g coverage. So far I have been into the CBD 3 times and only 4g. Got onto the chat on the app.chat drop out after 5 mins. And they did not bother to call or chat back about my non 5g service which was why I signed up. When someone promise something and they deliver sub par, it is call a SCAM.
So refund me so I can go back to Telstra.

I have been with amaysim for about two years now and I have had to replace two sim cards that just stopped functioning. This became a massive drama, i was unable to use my amaysim app. I was unable to call the "SO CALLED" free service phone number 567, i kept being told that i was unable to make the call due to having no credit, which was not true and even if it had been the case "FREE" means that one need not pay for the call, is that not the meaning of FREE?
I tried to use free wifi without success, i bought a new sim card but was unable to activate it. I had to buy another sim from optus and credit to go with it in order to call amaysim to sort out the problem, which took about a week, so I had to hound them to get some compensation. About 3 months ago my sim card stopped working again on Friday night late. My back up sim had stopped working also from gomo. I could not access my gomo account and I bought another sim from service station and credit as well just in case, i could not activate this sim card either, as it was weekend there was no one to speak to at amaysim, the new card would not activate again, i tried wifi for hours, no joy, tried the so called FREE 567 number and was unable to access due to not having credit, which I did fourteen days worth of unlimited credit, gomo who had offered to pay for the next month credit for the unbelievable amount of time effort and cost to get the service running again and then a woman who was interested only in proving that they did not owe me anything because the service was now working, even though I had been promised free credit and I was unable to make any calls on gomo sim, could not get a replacement sim even though I tried ten different outlets, I couldn't access the app, or the service number, i was using another companies sim and bought credit, so I thre the sim in the bin and contacted the ombudsman. Amaysim I was having the same issue as the first time having to get a third company sim and credit, even though I had credit and had bought a new sim which would not activate, ihad to use my new optus sim and credit to resolve the problem with my amaysim account again. And I also lost 250gb of data from the situation, i had to threaten to leave amaysim before they agreed to reimburse a full month of credit as i was again without a phone for over a week, plus costs of buying optus sim and credit even though amaysim 567 calls are "FREE".
They eventually gave me the free month.
Gomo contacted me after the ombudsman called them and they were so very very polite and apologetic and sent me a replacement sim and gave me a month of free service. So don't count on 567 being available even if you have credit because it is not true that the number is frre to call, and the app may not work for you either. I put up "this is the last time" because of the 150gb data and unlimited service per 28 days and bank even though I lost the 250gb last drama with amaysim, but not again two very full on dramas i won't repeat and i almost left after the first one but I won't put up with a third
VERY unimpressed phone user.

Update changed to optus 1/06

Worst customer service on chat platform. Did wrong recharge twice, staff not responding properly without checking last chat or files. They just want charge higher prices to customer without knowing the pack they brought. Never trust employees keep proof of your purchase whether SIM card or recharge. Make sure take chat history with yourself as they can lie to you next time.

Do you have a branch in Brisbane? I have a lot of harassing calls that affect my life every day, so I want to change to a new number, but can my accumulated traffic be transferred to the new number?

The commercial of people and stripping is enough to make me not even consider this company. Gross!

I should have joined Amaysim a little bit earlier. Network is quite good and i can save lots of money with SIM only plan. 5 star rates.

Been with amaysim for years! Absolute fabulous telco to be with if you want cheap plans with decent expiry dates. Has even more utility now due to data banking. Looking forward to potential modern solutions like e-sims, 5g, etc, but wouldn't surprise me of the big three monopolise these features for some time. TLDR is get Amaysim if you are on a budget - you can't go wrong!

Purchased a SIM card and have been trying to activate it for a month already and still trying. Although the staff are polite and try to be helpful, the problem keeps getting passed on from one person to another and escalated with no result. Being without use of a phone for a month is beyond frustrating. Wish I'd never purchased that SIM card!

I was very happy with Amaysim but recently there network had some issues and my phone had no coverage at all for 2 days I was not notified or sent a message that there are disruptions in my area when I contacted the customer service they had no clue about any outage but on there website it was mentioned so they asked me to do some troubleshooting but it didn't work for me and I had to transfer to another provider. All good until it stopped working with no resolution hence had to opt out

Nice customer support, good price, service is fairly reliable, website is not useful and the switchboard process is not pleasant.

Love Amaysim! They are super flexible and although don’t have the best coverage (using the poor spectrum of Optus network) their network is good enough for the metro areas and pricing and Custoemr support 1000 times better than Telstra!

Highly recommend to anyone looking for the best deal mobile that updates monthly with even better perks!

We have 4 phones in our home with them. They have been an absolute pleasure to be with. Extra data and free upgrades are common. Ditch Telstra and go with these guys.

So pleasing to find a company that rewards loyality - in contrast to most companies that have special offers only for new clients. My data allowance has been increased twice since I joined Amaysim. Great value.

Can’t be more happy with these guys. Hard to find a company that rewards loyalty. But these guys do. Recommend 10/10. Very happy with service and cost!

Amaysim just upsized my current plan by 20GB for free! Now I have a whopping 100GB! And it's not the first time! Best mobile plan provider by far! Been with Amaysim for years and not planning to leave!
