Alphabet St reviews
62 Alphabet street has always and is my favourite restaurant for 10+ years.
The food, martinis, workers, location. You can’t beat it.
Great restaurant. Food and cocktails are always amazing and the service from the lovely staff is second to none.
I found the atmosphere and set up a bit disappointing. The staff were not overly friendly.
So grateful for such a fantastic celebratory dinner - our anaphylactic child was able to eat so many dishes, which is rare for her. Amazing!
Nice fresh delicious food betal leaves, massamam beef curry easy park for early sitting 5.30pm
I had a my birthday party celebration here for 15 people. We ordered the banquet and everything was exception. The service we got was excellent! The food was delish! We will definitely be back. Thank you again for hosting my birthday.
Fantastic service as always, and a great atmosphere in the restaurant! My only suggestion would be to perhaps check how spicy people would want a dish, or putting symbols on the menu to imply how spicy each dish can be. Drinks were great as always too!
Thank you for being understanding about a booking not being taken due to illness. Your staff were very understanding and took care of the refund so fast. Our family will all be booking again, and attending, very soon.
If you want to be treated poorly by rude wait staff this restaurant is for you. If paying to be ignored is something you’re into this restaurant is for you.
Was here a while ago and had a terrible experience with staff. One waiter spent more time flirting with 1 table than serving the rest of the customers.
My wife was here today and was appalled how her and her friend were treated. Staff were rude on arrival and completely ignored them during their lunch.
Food is great, shame about the staff.
I was completely blown away by Alphabet St. This isn't your conventional Thai place.
It's stylish, modern, with a condensed menu design for sharing. A fantastic place to come with foodie friends who want to taste a bit of the whole menu.
It has a wonderful cocktail menu with some creative concoctions.
To eat, we ordered:
Prawn Lon
I cannot express this enough. This dish was one of the most wonderful things I've ever eaten. Absolutely recommend ordering. It's a slightly sweet, coconutty, and almost like a chunky prawn dip. It sounds strange, but it was paired with these perfect prawn chips for dipping. Such an incredible Thai dish.
Barramundi Dumplings?
Big wow for this dish. Never had fish in a dumpling before. These were paired with a tangy sauce and we're steamed to perfection. Absolutely fantastic balance of flavours.
Fried Chicken Bao Buns
A classic that everyone can enjoy. Surprisingly filling.
Stir Fried Greens?
Another simple classic with a perfect sauce. I only wish it was popped on our table sooner so I could've enjoyed it alongside the other dishes.
Roti
Another fantastic basic delivered to the table a bit too late. Would've loved to have used this to soak up the sauce of the other dishes.
All of the above was ordered for two people plus 2 cocktails each. We were super full afterwards.
Overall, I'll definitely be making the trip back to eat here again. You should too.
Alphabet St is one of our favourite local go to restaurants and on this occasion lived up to everyone’s expectations and covered our gluten free needs really well.
Super friendly and knowledgeable service. Bob had us in stitches! Will definitely be back!
Some of the best Thai food I've had in a long time. The waiter was very helpful too. They should get a bigger space! I know they would get the customers.
Great asian fusion. I forgot to take a photo but the betal leaf was my favourite. I enjoyed everything else. The wait staff were really friendly and everything he recommended was delicious!
The food was exceptional. Different take to many Asian dishes which was the stand out point to make is little bit different. Highly recommend.
My favourite restaurant in all of the shire! My husband and I love it and swear by it. Recently we took family from London and they said it’s the best Thai they’ve ever eaten! For us, Alphabet St is up there with Mr Wong and Cafe Sydney. Tasty dumplings, personal faves are the bao buns and pork belly. Also recommend the massaman curry. Also, superb cocktails! Cannot go past the famous Apple martini and kind/ friendly staff. 10/10!
I had a great experience at Alphabet St.
The music, ambiance and vibes were good.
The host was warm and accommodating. I wasn't sure what to order and she made a few starter/entree suggestions, which were all amazing!
10/10 would recommend!
The food and ambience of this restaurant was fantastic.we didn't have a booking but the host was able to fit us into a busy evening, white haired gentleman was friendly & funny!
Such delicious food and great cocktails, staff were extremely friendly and helpful too. Always a great vibe as well. Nothing bad to say at all.
Went in today at 3: 30pm…Heard food is amazing here so had to try, too bad we couldn’t try it though. Spent 10mins trying to waive at the waitresses which we’re having a gas bag to the chefs with their backs turned to everyone else and finally after walking over to the waitress she just looked at me like I was intruding and said I’ll be with you soon. After 5mins my wife and I just got up to leave, looked around for one last chance to get there attention but nothing and proceeded to walk out. They were probably only at 33% capacity. Hate to think how long the food would have taken…
