I visited in July 2018 and enjoyed my meal so much I always make it a point to have one meal here everytime I travel to Sydney. The octopus and loukoumades are the 2 items I always order.
I wanted to leave a positive review not only for the great food but also in late November when I ate at the restaurant, I had a very grumpy child with me and the staff were so patient and accommodating.
So thank you for the good food, excellent service and being so patient.

Excellent place with great service and staff. I believe it's modern Greek? Nice delicate flavours mixed with robust meats and proteins.

Quite noisy. Food was OK. Very popular as it was hard to hear at the table bec of the ambient noise. Service was prompt and good, but I was bothered a few times by wait staff approaching from the right and so I ended up with an armpit in my face more than once as there was no "excuse me" or anything. Just reaching over unannounced.

Update on return visit-
Service was good this time. No armpits in my face. Unfortunately food was less than average and quite pricey for a set menu. Came home and had a toastie. 1 piece of halloumi, a small wedge of pita bread, a tablespoon of taramosalata, 1 prawn, a few Olives, a few potatoes and a bit of salad. The spanakopita was the stand out dish. The lamb wasn't as good as last time, so I only had a small taste. Loukoumade with a teaspoon of ice cream for dessert.

Alpha Restaurant consistently delivers exceptional food and service. I recently hosted my birthday dinner at Alpha and would like to extend a special thank you to the Venue Manager, Kosta, for his attentiveness and kindness - which made the evening truly memorable. Thank you for going above and beyond to make my birthday special!

Don't visit Asians. Even if there are too many seats, they give you a corner seat in front of the bathroom, and as soon as you sit down, take out your wine glass and put your hand in your pocket to take your order. If you want to recommend a menu, point your finger at the menu and you're done.
All Asians were put to one side lol I don't know if it was the president's guidelines or the staff's arbitrary behavior, but it was the worst experience.
Even though the food is 70 dollars per person, the barbecue comes out burnt lol Why did you cover the burnt ones with non-burnt hehe? Dessert comes out after waiting for close to 20 minutes. And here, restaurant tips are essential! I can't pay with the instructions. Take note and don't go!

Was charged a $100 cancellation fee after speaking to an insanely rude manager explaining my mother had gastro prior to the booking, and I had not even confirmed my booking. This will be disputed and taken up further.

We had a lovely night dining at the Alpha Restaurant. The food and the service were excellent. They catered to my food allergies so well and attended to all our requests promptly and efficiently. I would not hesitate in recommending this fine restaurant.

My friend introduced this restaurant to me, we all like the prawn and fish which were cooked in a special way. We also visited Ploos after happy experience with Alpha.

Such a shame that the waitress we had lacked any people skills and didn’t smile. She was not friendly and not easy to talk to and didn’t care. She did not want to be there. It ruined the experience and I would never go back unfortunately. I was really looking forward to this restaurant so this was a shame!
The food was nice but not amazing. The whole fish lacked flavour and the halloumi sagnaki was boring. I make better lemon roast potatoes at home and I’m not even Greek. No joke! You could not taste lemon at all. Disappointing

Called in on spec having read reviews for the lamb shoulder and needing to find a restaurant. Luckily, they could accommodate us if we ordered in 10 minutes before the kitchen closed. We ordered the large, slow cooked lamb shoulder, Greek style chips with feta and broccoli. The lamb just fell off the bone and was very tasty if a little salty. Accompanied by a sort of mint cream, which helped to reduce the salt. The sides were great, too. We followed up with the baklava and raspberry tart, both generous portions and great. Service was slick, and although we had to order quickly, we were never rushed. $217 for two with cocktails, beer, and water.

Such an incredible restaurant with the most beautiful interior. Highly recommend for work functions and luncheons

Waiters lacked experience, senior floor staff were condescending and rude. Food was very average! The galaktobouriko was the worse I have ever had!
Disappointing, will definitely not be coming back!

We had set menu for Christmas party, love everything except the dessert, a bit sweet for us, otherwise pita, Optus, lamb shoulder are all amazingly good.

Staff were friendly and professional, service was impeccable, we had a great time there!

It’s around 170 per person with drinks, I was pretty drunk after the staff kindly let me sit in the restaurant to wait for my husband to pick me up even though they are closed, truly grateful, coz I was really smashed that it’s dangerous for me to be outside that late at night, thank you guys!

Beautiful food, wine and atmosphere. A favourite date spot for lunch or dinner. And equally good for taking clients etc. The spanakopita is the best in Sydney!

I have been to this restaurant twice this month now and cannot fault anything. The restaurant itself is beautiful, nice and clean- decorated amazingly. The staff were great! Always making sure our glasses were full and making sure all dietary requirements were taken care of. The food was perfect - could not fault a thing. We tried everything that was put infront of us and it exceeded all expectations. I usually take photos of food, but I know when the food is good when I barely touch my phone. Would give this restaurant more than 5 stars if I could. If you love Greek food, or just food, go here!

The food and service were amazing. The waiter explained all dishes and was always ready to help. Would definitely recommend.

My husband organised my 40th Birthday there. The staff were Soooo Rude, the hostess awful.
They made my party of 10 miserable. The food was rushed, we could not get any service for drinks. What a shame for my birthday: (

What an amazing restaurant! The decor, service and the food were all great. The Moussaka is a must, absolutelly delicious.however my fridnds had pork crumble and were not that happy, so maybe skip that one but the rest is mouth watering. Thanks Alpha.
