Alfred Imaging Newtown / I-MED Radiology Network reviews
59The team put me at ease, they were very caring, let me know ex what was going to happen, I felt I was taken very good care off
Caring staff who minimise pain when doing xrays and ultrasounds. Very happy with the service I received and didn't need to wait long either.
Dreadful experience trying to contact by phone, this company needs to employ more staff, especially reception, waited over 20 mins for the phone to be answered, only to get an abrupt, stressed out receptionist, all the staff are stressed & tired, I Med is just another American style company profiting from the large number of older people needing medical help
IMed's serviced are satisfactory, but their service isn't brilliant. My partner and I had a fairly mediocre experience when we attended iMed for a 20 week scan; the sonographer seemed jaded and overlooked the fact that this scan would be an exciting experience for us. Furthermore, the ultrasound rooms don't have screens mounted on the walls, so you can't view the ultrasound in real time. For a couple who wanted to see their baby, this was disappointing. Also, the sonographer told us she'd send us videos of baby moving, however we learnt after the appointment that iMed don't have capacity to provide customers with video clips from their ultrasounds.
All-round, the service was satisfactory, but I'd recommend going elsewhere if you're an excited couple who are keen to see their baby.
I called to make an appointment, but no one picked the phone after more than 9 minutes waiting on line. I tried a second time, and I was waiting for 12 minutes.
If I-med radiology advertise a service, they should hire more staff ready to get business.
Last time I was there, you could hear the ring of the phone but the Receptionists were busy with patients.
They could have the courtesy of picking up the phone and ask if the client could wait while they finish, but they don't do it.
Such a wait our time! Of course, I ended up ringing different company and my call was picked up at the third ring.
I had an ultrasound appointment a little while ago, in March and was surprised in a positive way. After reading some reviews I was anticipating the worst but my appointment was almost on time and didn’t have to wait and the staff were very nice. The ultrasound technician was very thoughtful and kind.
Try to avoid this option if you can. Unhelpful staff. Link doesn’t work. Finally got through to them on a phone but got there in time only to be turned away. Use of space. They are running low on staff on a busy Saturday so clearly cutting costs. Will definitely try to find another service provider.
Had an MRI on my knee for $300. The woman who performed it was plain rude, but, hey, them the breaks. I then took the scans to my specialist who said they'd done such a poor job he could barely even read the results! Maybe I just went on an off day, but disappointing regardless.
There was a huge lack of porters. I said in the room eating to be taken to my ward for over 2 hours. The there did all they could and gave me some food as I had been fasting for 16 - 18 hours prior. It really horrible
that there isn't enough porters to move patients to their wards. Really a shocking experience.
Had a plesant experience going for my MRI here. Receptionist was a delight and explained everything thoroughly. The radiographer was especially attentive and the MRI went smoothly. Was in and out within the 1 hour. Told my report would be uploaded in 7 days and would receive a link (which I already have) Would recommend to have an MRI here. I’ve had several before and this was by far the nicest experience!
SMS link sent by iMed did not work on my phone. Called for appointment but held for 45 minutes with no answer. Email follow up ignored. So I took my referral to a different company and had good service. Worth remembering that you do not need to use iMed just because your doctor has referred them.
I really can't comment on any experience I might have had at the clinic, because even though I've rung four times over the last week and waited up to an hour on the phone to make an appointment for a CT scan, I can't get anyone to pick up the phone. If you advertise a service I-med radiology, provide it. Get it together
Nice first up.dont ask for anything else. I was hung up on saying theyd address my concern without even asking who i am.
Efficient service which is always good. However, found the majority of staff to be insensitive and uncaring. No real sense of privacy, and a condescending and frustrated tone when giving instructions or answering questions. They also asked me a personal question in front of SEVERAL other clients and rolled their eyes and scoffed when I asked to tell them in private. MRI can be uncomfortable and stressful, and people usually get them because they're in pain or something is wrong. Have some basic respect please.
I was booked in for a CT Scan on ground floor.
Such lovely caring staff, from reception, nurses & doctor.
Highly recommend. Very professional as well.

Jennifer from Newtown is very caring and helped me a lot during a ct scan in my difficult time.
Thanks.
Staff lovely when you get there and they have fancy app that keeps imaging in one place which is good.
But none of this worth complete dearth of communication with bookings…. Service is completely inadequate online and via phone
Get put through to wrong team and at least 20 minute wait just to speak to anyone. Off to Alfred next door and can apparently use same referral there.
Needs some serious support. Online staff reviews suggest only 28% of staff recommend do that says it all. Very disappointing service
Friendly n Quick
No appointment needed for X-ray, walked in and got seen quickly.
Link to Images sent to me to be viewed online or on their phone app.
Too easy.
And bulk billed.
I came just in time to my appointment but had an issue with the referral download. It took 10 minutes to get it but they cancelled my appointment. Very disappointing experience. Every time I come there I wait patiently as it's never in time, but it doesn't work the other way.very customer-unfriendly.
