I would like to make an appointment to have a face-face interview with an Aged Care Specialist about accessing the Home Equity Scheme.

I have an aged care pension and meet the age requirement.

Richard passed away peacefully at AACF over a year ago. I, and Richard’s family will always be grateful to the Director of Nursing and her staff for the exceptional, loving and professional care Richard received in the 18 months he was at the facility. It was a home from home, full of life and love. The food was excellent too: freshly cooked on the premises with a choice available. Thank you for looking after him so well and for all the support you gave us as a family. Cynthia Connolly

I would like to thank Alexander Aged Care Facility from the moment I called to organise a tour, to my father’s admission, communication with staff via emails, telephone calls and conversations in person that it’s been a very pleasant experience for all of us. My father is happy and is very well looked after. I highly recommend the facility and I give the facility a 5 star ️ rating!

This place is awesome - finding good care is difficult at the best of times - its a very guilt ridden process and there is a lot of negativity out there regarding nursing homes. However all our families fears are alleviated now that our mum is at Alexander - great loving, happy, welcoming and caring staff, amazing food, lots of activities for the residents to participate in, clean rooms, excellent attentive patient care and an amazing welcoming atmosphere to all. Our mum is enjoying her time here and that is saying something! Now thinking of putting our father here too when the time is right. Thank you Alexander Aged Care:)

Hi Omar Gulen,

Can you disclose more details re your experiences at AACF?
Did we look after your relative (s) ?

I do not think AACF is bad place for the elderly people!

AACF has very good reputation in the community. You cannot find the perfect place but at least AACF respect the multiculturalism (residents and staff members).
AACF is only one Armenian facility in Australia which providing the best care to elderly people who are came from different cultural background.
The Board Members are excellent Ladies who are advocating for the residents by estabilished such facility.

I am very lucky to be one of the staff member who works and looks after residents at AACF.

My mother is a resident there and one of the original founders (12 women) who started the charity back in 1978 to ensure there was a place focused on the care and well being of residents, and not the profit line.

The food is consistently good and fresh and the place is clean, renovated and well maintained. Feedback from residents and family are regularly sought and a feel of inclusion to all. The independent living centres are going to have a mass rebuild soon though (late 2016), so I imagine things will be noisy for a few months at least.

With a mum who now has Alzheimer's, I feel at ease knowing she is receiving good care and is engaged and looked after. The only downside for me is that pets are welcome (and encouraged) to visit, but there are no dogs/cats that are residents as part of the therapy and residents are also not allowed to have pets
