Alex Baird Art reviews
8 Alex’s paintings tug at the heart strings of Sydneysiders and those that love the coast. Her art transports you back to long summer days by the beach and beautiful coastal walks.
She captures the Sydney coastline from a unique perspective. Her works are organic and reflect the relaxed lifestyle and evoke soothing sense freedom.
Alex’s art is a feature and talking point in any setting.
Alex is a great artist and so easy to work with! We have two large commissioned pieces in our homes, they look fantastic and are always commented on by guests.
We have purchased a couple of gorgeous artworks from Alex as absolutely love her pieces. The vibrancy of the colours have brought life into my living areas and the paintings overall give out a real ‘wow factor’. Alex is a pleasure to deal with and happily gave advice on various framing options.
I am very fortunate to own two Alex Baird originals. One Sydney Harbour and a Balmoral beach commissioned for our wedding. I often find myself lost in the art captivated by their beauty, location and the memories they provoke. Simply stunning original artworks always admired by our friends and family to the point that many now feature Alex’s art in their homes.
Alex is such a beautiful artist. Her colours are stunning and light up any wall! I now have 3 of her paintings and love them all. She is so easy to work with if you commission her as well - I got one for my husbands birthday, and she spent time understanding what I wanted and providing really helpful advice on size and framing. He was absolutely thrilled when he saw it.
I love how Alex expresses her love of Sydney beaches (especially Fairy Bower and Shelly Beach) through her paintings - particularly her oil paintings which have so much depth, colour and movement.
I have enjoyed watching Alex’s art evolve over the years having been to several of her art shows including her first show at Sydney Cove Oyster Bar in 1992. I have one of her very early artworks from almost 30 years ago and I love how she uses curves and texture to capture our stunning harbour and it’s beaches which she has been painting since the beginning of her career. I have given a few prints as gifts when going overseas and I regularly get comments on how much they enjoy these artworks.
