Albury Visitor Information Centre reviews
12Would love to give a review. But because we were connected to our caravan there was no parking for is. Very disappointed
Very friendly and informative stuff. 2 hrs free parkings in weekdays and Saturday morning.
The staff are friendly and professional. Gave us information and pamphlets of interesting sites, places, shops and accommodation. Recommend stopping and talking to the staff if you are touring around Albany and surrounding areas.
Very helpful and get info available
But if you're looking for somewhere to stay don't stay at Best Western Plus Hovell Tree Inn Albury
Really friendly staff at the front. Had only few hours. She just gave enough info for few hours. Sunday market event - how to find parking, etc. Botanical gardens. We had a great time in Albury with the marked map. Have to say toilets in the railway station were 1st class.
James is really helpful and took the time out to introduce us to what Albury has to offer. Highly recommend that you come to the visitors centre!
Wow. We've been patronised by an angry lady here. We took the freez approach as we didn't know how to react to the abrupt attitude towards us entering the building. However
we followed by a fast fly approach when we recollected our dignity.
Everyone in Albury is super nice, but this lady was something else. So I strongly recommend googling 'Top Albury attractions ' and avoid being abused by the 'Albury ambassador '.
Oh. We seen some signs around the town about the Jazz festival, which we dareed to ask about.we were directed to the website as its all there and its up to us to make our selves acquainted with the details.
Other than that our kids are alive and my wife is still a little unsure why we ever entered the beautiful visitors center building.
Anyway. Top town with top people; but visitors center lady.not so much.
Great info centre for local and adjacent areas.
We were there when Kaitlyn was on duty. Kaitlyn is a natural tourism ambassador. We were given info on Wine districts, and local attractions. Nothing was any trouble. We were assisted with our Visitors declaration for Victoria.
Highly recommend.
This visitor info centre is in a lovely old building, and it’s situated in a good spot in Albury. They didn’t have a huge amount of maps like I would expect a good info centre to have, but the pamphlets that were there were relevant and useful. The person at the front desk was quite indifferent to my arrival, and somewhat unhelpful.
Friendly staff who have a great knowledge of the local area. Also have a decent range of suveniors available.
The lady behind the desk was very helpful. She gave us lot of information on what to do and see around Albury. We ended up with a few maps and points of interests to look at.
I come from Coolangatta Tweed Heads, twin cities on the Qld NSW border.
Thought I would visit your twin cities. BIG BIG MISTAKE.
No tourist info in hotels or motels. I rang the tourist info line and asked where does the tourist bus leave from to take me on tour of the towns, Murray river, Hume Dam etc etc. The reply "We don't do that". I came down by the dreadful train service, first class, cattle class more like it.
I went to Flight Centres and got the next fight out. I never got to see a thing. A HORRIBLE PLACE TO VISIT WITH BAD MEMORIES FOREVER.
