A&H FLOORS 2 DOORS

We have had floorboards installed by A&H Flooring in Dec 2021, as part of renovation where carpet was removed and floorboards were installed to match the existing floorboards. We experienced several issues with the quality of materials and workmanship. On the day of installation they brought floorboards totally different in quality and appreance to what we had selected. So we had to stop work and then they brought different floorboards, which were still different from what we had selected. We felt we had to allow them to continue, as we had paid 50% deposit. After they installed the floorboards, we noticed the floorboards had a lot of fillings and some boards had bubbles.
The workmen who installed the floorboards lacked installation knowledge and experience, as they had damaged the carpet when they joined the floorboards in hallway and the bedroom. This happened as they had cut the floorboards short. The joining strips between the existing and new floorboards are loose and ill-fitting with white glue oozing out.
The scotia used is of different size and is of very poor quality that breaks off easily. There are gaps between the old scotia (previous floorboards which we had kept) and what they had installed.
The owner came to see these problems and saw the damaged carpet and said his son had accidently damaged it. He promissed to fix these problems. However, no one has contaced us to address these issues and have completely ignored us.
We trusted them and paid the full amount in good faith.
Be aware, from our experience, we do not recommend this business.

Good price and good guys but sort of poor product knowledge and also ended up installing poor quality stair nosing. I asked for bull nose and ended up having square stair nose with sharp edges. On complaining, got various responses that they don't do bull nose, or it is expensive product, while I was offered better product elsewhere. They didn't show me the stair nose sample neither offered me options to choose and just ended up taking poor decision assuming their product is comparable to others. Rest of the floor work was good just not the stairs.

We recently did our floors with A&H. From start to finish it was one seamless experience.
It was a pleasure to deal with Harkey and Gournal and the workmanship was top notch.

Great price. But you will get what you pay for. Very bad tradecraft. Bad product knowledge and sold inappropriate products.
It is cheap. And you'll get a "cheap" service.

Great Job, from assistance with selecting the right colour and material to installation we could not be happier. The guys went well above and beyond to also help us install our skirting. The floor looks fabulous and we love it.
