Had my box braids done here by the most amazing, talented, helpful and kind staff! Left here absolutely feeling myself and totally in love with my hair! I booked my appointment through their Facebook form which was quick and easy to use. Got a response same day confirming my appointment (shoutout to you Nancy you legend!). Then spent most of the day getting my braids done by Grace the superstar who made the time fly by. She was personable, funny, charming and so easy to get along with! If you’re thinking of getting braids done, you must go here! A family owned business well renowned amongst the community with plenty of regulars, first time customers and walk ins (ofc best to book an appointment to guarantee a spot!). This business truly care about their craft and their customers, and I can’t wait to come back again!

I visited the salon on the weekend and am extremely pleased with the service. Rachael was amazing and actually takes the time to ensure that the services required will be done accordingly. My hair colour and braids are amazing and she suggested a braiding cap which I used and woke up looking like I had just had them done. The staff were all lovely and I definitely will be going back! Thankyou team for being so inviting and ensuring I left satisfied.

These guys were miracle workers when it came to straightening my 3B/C hair. The customer service is impeccable and they are all friendly and have great attention to detail with their work. Would highly recommend for all curly hair needs

Great service. I was served by a lovely young lady Grace. Her knowledge of weft hair extensions was very helpful. She advised me how to look after my New hair. Non issue with m'y extensions, i love them. She was so friendly and it was lovely to have such great custumer service. So happy with my new hair extensions. Do not recommend getting hair extensions from here. I was a customer for many years here and cannot believe how ripped off I was. Paid around $600 for “100% human hair extensions” only for them to tangle within seconds of brushing - got them taken out thinking maybe I just wasn’t use to having them in cause it had been a while. Recently got them put in & took them out a week later - I could never style them as they wouldn’t stay so I could only wear them straightened, when using low heat straightener, the ends would literally crinkle like plastic hair. Just got new extensions done with a professional and I can tell you now I will never go back to Afro Varieties. I lost $600 on a product that should have been less than half that price. They are a rip off and dodgy.

Can’t speak highly enough of this place.hidden gem Beautiful family that run the salon, super friendly and most of all know their stuff. Love their work and advice. The only place I will be using for my dreads. Very happy Thankyou! ️

Make sure you ask the questions you need to first when colouring And make sure you get Ur quote b4 you start. But other then that Id recommend it and I'd go back, just not for colouring sorry.

They did a marvellous job, with a goddess braids, neat and just the right size, more than what I expected. Do visit them for any of your braids needs. Thankyou Grace, I am surely coming again.

Extremely poor customer service.

I was not greeted upon entry.
The only 2 employees were seated behind the reception desk, not helpful at all about my enquiries. Almost a sense of disinterest.
Once making the effort to show interest her eyes were in and out of her phone. It seemed that scroll through her news feed was more interesting than having valued ongoing customer for their business.

Such a shame.

It's my first time on a hair salon and I 5 star recommend for you first timers to go here cause Rachelle did an amazing job on my hair. Worth it and loving it. Choosing her to be permanent hair dresser ️
