Advance Therapeutic Clinic Eastwood reviews
8Went in for a acupuncture and massage session today. Both of guys were attentive and did a great job on my sore left shoulder. Particularly the masseur Song (hope I spell his name correctly)
Booked an appointment for two people, but the clinic made a mistake and only reserved time for one person. Was informed of this merely 3 hours before the appointment despite booking a week in advance. I paid in advance and despite not getting a massage, clinic refused to refund me more than 70%. This was their mistake and and they told me to sort it out with Groupon myself, which will be a hassle since the clinic redeemed my voucher already without performing any treatment!
Massage was not on spots thus wasn’t helpful in healing my sore back. The masseur probably had a cold and kept sniffing during the whole process. It also ended 5 minutes before time. People kept talking loudly in Korean over the curtain like the other comments said. In general not a relaxing and healing massage.
Very average massage and the woman on the phone made a mistake and only booked us in for 1 person and not 2, so only 1 of us could actually get a massage. Terrible.
The massage itself was ok, but the continual talking in Chinese or whatever language it was on the other side of the curtain was not at all conducive to my relaxation, actually I found it very annoying. Separate rooms with relaxing music would be much better.
This was not too bad, if they could use some background music would make you feel more relax. The room is tight but still a room there, I don't mind getting more privacy.
I called in twice for appointment for 2 people 3 weeks ahead, however by the time I turned up they look surprised and said the booking was only for one person, they did the massage for 2 anyway. They spoke Korean amongst each other the entire time while serving me, made me feel uncomfortable.
During the session, the female masseur kept on chatting and asks me about the appointment error they had and my age and job etc for like 10 mins, which was strange and unprofessional. The massage was only focused on back and only a couple stokers on the legs and arms. At the end, she asked me to lie on my back and she did some weird slapping on my tummy.
My husband masseur was having a serious cold and had been sniffing the whole time. He wasn’t feeling relaxed after all.
Overall, the massage was weird and very unprofessional. Worst I ever had.
Turned up for my appointment and was told no appointment had been made so I had to make another appointment and come back. I confirmed that I have a groupon voucher for 60 minutes massage and 30 minute acupuncture. Came back in the afternoon I was given the worst massage by a young guy with severe blocked nose. Cold oil was dripped directlly on body. Massage consisted of slapping jerking with rough hands. I had to stop him from digging both his elbows into my back causing significant pain. All the while I had to listen to his heavy breathing and intermittent snorting near the back of my head. I put up with the horrible massage so I can get to the acupuncture for piriformis syndrome that I went there for. The young guy acted surprised when informed that my booking was for acupuncture as well and went out to check. An older male therapist that I met earlier in the day when I had to rebook my appointment came in. Without me complaining about the massage he explained that Professional therapist with many years experience dont accept Groupon Voucher. Well ok I wish they had put that in the Group-on fine print! He did give a good treatment with acupuncture and infrared on my sore area. Unfortunately the whole experience had already been ruined!
