Addbuild

Building is not for the faint hearted, but it is all about how you ‘show up’ and the team did just that (plus some), we have previously renovated with AddBuild - we are a return customer because of the professionalism and results the first time around.

This time around AddBuild built a second story for us during some of the wettest weather Sydney has seen for years - adding two bedrooms, a bathroom and new living room for us.

We have really enjoyed having the team back and the quality of the work they do. From Jack, John and Joey getting the lock-up sorted, to Adrian and Pete doing the bits and bobs and some familiar trades from last time along the way, they have produced the result we have been imagining for so long!

No build is without issues along the way (weather, council, unexpected challenges to overcome, changes and ideas coming from the client - me), but our supervisor John made himself available, solved problems quickly and kept the job flowing along. John made sure the timeline was managed, we knew what to expect and everything was done to the standard we expect - right on time.

John has been a pleasure to work with. Especially with us living through this build he has made all the difference - he has kept us up to date and managed us amongst his many jobs without letting us slip. His stakeholder management was great to watch – he definitely ‘shows up! ’ (plus some).

Addbuild put 4 bedrooms and a bathroom on top of our house during the wettest Sydney weather for years. They were amazing! We had no roof during a month of downpours and we had leaks in every room (not their fault). John (our PM) fixed it all at no cost. They put an enormous extension on our house during covid and after materials skyrocketed in price and they stuck to their agreed price. John Galic, our PM, was amazing and so kind to idiot clients. We adore our new house, we thoroughly recommend Addbuild and would be happy to chat or to show you what they did in person.

I wasn't going to put anything specific in here, but since the business has responded - I would advise anyone planning on signing a building contract to do a pre-development meeting meeting with your council, before signing anything with the builder. Better yet, have an approved DA. Take of that what you will.

Very happy with Addbuild. They've recently completed a first storey addition to our home. Very happy with the site supervisor (John Galic) and his crew. Quality of work was great and his team are punctual, hardworking and friendly.

We used Addbuild for our second story addition and we could not be happier. They did a great job start to finish. John was our site supervisor and he was fantastic, always answered his phone or if not, called me back very quickly. All work people on site were very polite and generally a pleasure to have in the house.

The quality and finish of the work was excellent and we were always consulted even on minor changes or alterations that were required to achieve the result we were looking for.

I would have no qualms in recommending Addbuild to a friend.

We recently had a great experience with Addbuild. We had a second storey added - 3 x bed, 1 x BR, 1 x lounge.
It was an easy and trouble free build from start to finish. The foreman - John - was great, keeping us informed the whole way through.
He made sure that we were up to date in what was going on, and also in what was needed from us (choosing colours, taps etc).
The main builders Angus, Adrian and Gene were pleasant and seemed to really enjoy their jobs.
Maybe we were lucky (no termites/ asbestos etc), but they finished in 8 weeks, and we are all in and finished at 10 weeks.

Addbuild recently added a 2 bedroom, one bathroom addition on the 2nd floor of our home. We were very pleased with the outcome! There were some bumps in the road initially, but these were due to council stipulations, many of which were frustrating and irrational. Credit to Emmory, Carlos and Leno for persisting with council to gain approval for a plan that met council demands but didn't compromise on overall design.
The build was really well managed by project manager John G. His teams of tradies all worked quickly and to a very high standard. Our job was completed much faster than we thought possible, and as importantly, on budget.
I would not hesitate to recommend Addbuild to those looking for a straight-forward, quality renovation.

Addbuild has recently added a 1st floor for us. Our primary objective was to increase the space and natural light in our house and we are very happy with the results. We worked with Emmory on the initial design and he was fantastic at helping me understand what I could achieve that would be inline with my objectives and budget. Our building project, led by John G, started very quickly and ran professionally. John was very patient and helpful with me, as someone who had never been involved in a renovation of this scale before. Our job was completed in a timely manner and came in on budget. I would be happy to recommend Addbuild.

Addbuild has recently done an excellent extension job (adding a first floor) for us. The project has been very well managed by the builder John W. We have been very happy with the services Addbuild provides and the costs is transparent for each item. There are many people we want to thank and it is really a wonderful company (with a team of not only professional but also nice people) to work with. I will be more than happy to recommend Addbuild to any one who will do home extensions. Thanks Addbuild!

Five years on and we're still really happy with the renovations Addbuild built for us. There have been a couple of minor issues which is to be expected with major building works but they were fixed quickly by Addbuild without drama. Our experience has been nothing but positive, very happy to recommend them to anyone wanting to add a second storey to their home.

Addbuild provided incorrect advice to my client causing negative reputation for my business. I would look elsewhere.

I reviewed my experience with Addbuild on this site 3 years ago. At the time i had not experienced any issues with Addbuild
It is now 3 years later and I have ongoing issues that Addbuild have no intention of resolving.
Their customer service is way, way below standard. I have been fobbed off, lied to, spoken rudely to. I am extremely dissatisfied with any sort of followup. It has taken just under a year to get a supervisor out to look at my ongoing issues. The supervisor from my build i was told by Addbuild was terminated. I have been advised by employees of Addbuild he intentionally mislead clients, this also was my experience with him.
Addbuild take no responsibility for the misconduct of their employees and i am left with ongoing problems. To add to their negligence a staff member in the office who deals with ongoing issues felt it was perfectly acceptable to be rude to me.
I definitely would say DO NOT go with Addbuild. There are plenty of better companies around that give you far better customer service and dont create enormous amounts of stress for you.
I am now going to Department of Fair Trading to resolve issues that i have been battling for three years.
By the way our previous supervisor told us we would receive a bunnings voucher for a good review.

We are a family of 6 and have just completed a major house renovation in Cheltenham with Addbuild, which included 4 new bedrooms, a bathroom and a games room. From the moment we first engaged with Addbuild for design and concept ideas, right through to project completion, we have been impressed and completely satisfied with their professionalism, quality of work, and consistent communication throughout. Project was completed on time and within budget. We would happily recommend Addbuild for any future projects.
