Add-Style Home Additions

Very positive experience with Add-Style from the design process and throughout the build. A great team of staff and subcontractors, quality work and excellent customer service.

Like other REAL posters our experience was pretty horrendous during the entire process other than the design. We had an enormous amount of roof leaks which Addstyle will only patch, not paint. Worker fell through the ceiling and the repair was awful. The workmanship is so sub-standard from all trades its frightening. Tiles not laid properly, gyprock wasn't set properly or in some cases not set at all. Plumber roughed in taps in the wrong spot and got aggressive when it was brought to his attention. Owner is rude and aggressive when I bought up the fact that rubbish was carelessly thrown into my backyard including large bugle screws into the grass as well as tradesman leaving food on the job site for days on end.if they actually turned up at all. 26 week contract took over 12 months to complete. Trades don't talk to each other. Inferior products used and even had structural LVL installed crooked and on an angle. My downstairs builder was too scared to pull any more gyprock down to uncover anything else. Like last poster mentioned, many of the positive reviews are either employees or family members of the owners. Avoid Avoid Avoid.
EDIT.pretty easy to deny that there aren't fake posters when the reviews that were completed by staff and family are deleted.that sort of thing is sneaky. While we agree the weather was horrendous, there were rain delay extensions for days that we had less than 0.5mm and the roof was already on. As far as the workmanship, the roofing contractor couldn't get his work done correctly in 5 attempts let alone the plasterer and others.

We just finished up with Add Style after they constructed our 2nd story, we decided to only go to lock up with them and are taking our time to finish all the interiors. But I have to say that from our very first meeting with Cameron even before signing the contracts we felt at ease and in very professional hands!
Cameron, Tim and the building team had such a calm and confident nature about them. Their communication and planning process was outstanding and nothing was ever to much trouble!
If you are thinking of going up at your place, these are the guys to do it with!

Add-style have just been amazing! Saved us a lot of stress and time whilst walking us through each step of our build. All the team worked so seamlessly together and was able to finish the build quicker than what we had imagined!

I'm very happy with the quality of workmanship done by Addstyle. Tim V. D. Bosch was great to work with during the construction phase. The design phase was quite slow, but it was busy times for everyone at that stage. If you're on a super tight budget, keep in mind that before Addstyle start and once they finish, there will invariably be a tonne of other expenses like maybe some consultants & finishing the floors & painting. All in all I'd recommend them. Very happy with our 2nd story addition.

I must also add how clean and tidy the trades were throughout the build. This did not go unnoticed. Thanks to our site manager Shane who delivers a quality product on time. We can’t wait to start living our best life in our beautiful home.

The Add-style team did a fantastic job on our upstairs addition of 3 bedrooms and a two way bathroom.

We engaged AddStyle for our first floor addition in 2017 (2 bedrooms, bathroom & lounge space that could potentially be turned into 3 bedroom) and down stairs reno.

From day one AddStyle, were extremely professional and provided guidance and advice, not only on the project but also provided ideas and thoughts for the entire renovation.

The team where highly skilled and the entire project was on time and budget.

I retained Add-Style to place a first floor addition on my property. The price was fair and workmanship was great and I am very happy with the end result. The only area for improvement would be communication. They were slow to respond to my questions. The end result is fabulous.

We engaged Add Style for a first floor addition in 2017 and it became an ordeal for us from the early stages of the build when they decided they "did not want to" complete variations set out within our original contract.

We had a series of further issues during the build, including:

- leaks from the roof in a number of locations (black mould formed which they painted over and said would "dry out" - the plasterboard in the ceiling eventually bowed from the water damage)
- non-compliant electrical work (resulting in an Ausgrid non-compliance notice)
- plumbing issue after bathroom install (leaking toilet)
- subjected to abusive and aggressive email correspondence

After the build, we experienced further defects - leaks in the ground floor roof from three locations (the same locations as the leaks during the build).

This culminated in a lengthy Fair Trading dispute pursuant to which Add Style was issued a rectification order for the defective works and resulting damage.

We had to live with leaks and unsightly water damage in our home for 8 months while we waited for the Fair Trading determination and rectification by Add Style.

We do not recommend Add Style nor would we wish our experience with Add Style on anyone.
