This company was hired to certify the building of our home. Ten years later and we are still waiting for the Occupation Certificate. Numerous telephone calls later and emails, still nothing. They can't be bothered to fulfill their obligation to provide us or council with an OC. I was told it was too hard because they are busy, then it will take weeks and then just email the boss. Which I did and still NO REPLY. We are building a new home and we will never use these cowboys again. Terrible customer service and rude.

Took half the money we paid them without completing the work. Would not recommend.

AcroCert Pty Ltd Hi Carlee

Thank you for your feedback in relation to AcroCert's provision of services for your job in 2016-2017.

You engaged AcroCert to provide the building approval service, which we commenced proceedings to do so. The assessment revealed that a DA and subsequent Construction Certificate was required. At this time we advised that after you obtain the DA, Acrocert would issue the CC at no extra cost to you.

After nine months of no contact from yourself, it was discovered that you had installed the swimming pool without the necessary CC approval. Please note that in the State of NSW there are no legislative provisions for the issue of a building approval retrospectively.

As such AcroCert could not issue you with any sort of building approval. AcroCert had in fact completed part of the work in relation to your project, the parts of the work not completed were subsequently and diligently refunded to you. Simply put, half the money was refunded, as half the work was, and could only be, completed.

As explained then, AcroCert had in fact completed work in relation to this project, an inspection of the property and the assessment, the completion of which we provided evidence to you when requested. As the people with the benefit of the development consent, the responsibility falls upon yourself to ensure all necessary building approvals are in place prior to the works commencing.

We pride ourselves on our outstanding level of customer service and there is no doubt that this level of service extended to you. You may like to review the rating you supplied given that we performed our part of the approval process and advised you how to proceed which you chose not to follow. In this instance AcroCert is not to blame. We hope that this provides some clarity to you and that you will consider it suitable to remove the rating from our page.

My Response: Being that we have never put a pool in before, and had no idea what we were doing, Acrocert should have guided us through this process. This is the reason for my review, your customer service was horrible. You said yourself that it was 9 months in between your contact.

We relied on Acrocert and our pool company to ensure we followed correct procedure and we paid you $1200 and spoke to you once, that is not good enough in my opinion.

When you refused to refund the entire amount, we asked for the work you had completed to justify the amount you wanted to keep. You sent us a couple of photos of our block of dirt before there was a house on it, as well as a couple of pages that had been highlighted (after multiple requests), nothing was in a professional manner.

I am well within my rights to warn other people about my own personal experience with your company.
