Karen's been passionate about textiles from the moment she could talk. It's been her life to be in the fashion and design industry. She is a great mentor especially to those fashion graduates who will surely use her experience and knowledge to significant advantage on their way to their own success.

Karen's professionalism is seamlessly meticulous, her knowledge of the industry is abundant and working closely with her these past few months has given me the confidence, perspective and understanding of the industry holistically. As a start up, I didnt have the knowledge, referrals or any reference point as to how to get my vision out there, on paper and into the real life. Karen made this happen and over exceeded my expectations. I have learnt more that I imagined and I am ever so greatful I have worked with her on these preliminary stages of my new brand. I am super excited to when it launches at the end of the year - I couldnt of done it without her.

I recently did a pattern-making class with Karen and it was fantastic! She is extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher. I'm only a beginner, but she has decades of experience so would be great for anyone looking to sharpen their skills. Due to Covid I moved interstate and undertook the class via Zoom but I don't feel like I missed out on anything at all - Karen organised everything so that I got the full learning experience. So even if you're not in Sydney if you want to learn how to make your own patterns, or other fashion design skills, I highly recommend.

She is abosolutely a true profesional pattern maker. My experience with Karen was extremely positive and work was professional well done. Her attention to detail, skill, timelines and reliability are truly remarkable. I will come back to have one o one class with her.

One of my favourite shops nestled in the heart of newtown, its so hard to find quality clothing that is locally designed these days but this little shop is the epitome of amazing design and quality.

A gem of a shop in a fascinating stretch of King St Newtown. They stock a whole range of creative kind of things from clothing and jewellery through to artworks. Very cool vibe and well priced.

One of my fave stores for clothing made ethically by local designers, cutesy little bric-a-brac, jewellery and scented soy candles. You wouldn't notice it walking past but get inside and find something beautiful for yourself or a loved one!
