My experience as a client I never felt comfortable with one of the consultant. And I made a transfer to a different company, my job got effected from that because they were with in a contract with them, plus they had relationships with them, I felt took advantage on as person with disability, felt forced to stay and if I didn’t want to stay there was consequences, I didn’t feel like I been looked after well, pretty much they were in it for the money because when loosing A client it shows how badly this service are just because we get help from the government from our dsp pension and use us, on the ridiculous note they didn’t follow the national disability standards by to able to not have the rights of freedom of expression. Been there for so long, one thing the lady in Blacktown didn’t give me any privacy as a client when I wanted her to close the door during our appointment and felt she was co operating with my old manager. We’re they protecting the clients privacy NO!

This review is purely my anecdote just from having been a client here and a few other services, as well as knowing someone who worked this job so take with a grain of salt as I assume some things about others.

Not a bad place inherently, but suffers greatly from the sheer overworked, understaffed and underpaid nature of the industry. A lot of staff genuinely care and want to support clients, but are simply not given enough training, time, money, or support to do their job in a way that matters while centrelink constantly breathes down their necks to get people into jobs. This leads to a lot of burnout, turning people who do want to support, into people who are just trying to meet their quota. I felt like they just didn't have the proper training to support my invisible disabilities and thus couldn't do much for me.

This is one of the busiest offices and thus the worst parts of the industry can come out the most. No doubt they've helped a lot of people, but it's not for everyone. Remember that as a client, if you feel you aren't being supported you can pretty easily ask to be transferred to a different employment service up to 5 times a year!

I agree with one nation.ability options does have certain staff that enjoy power. Using our desperate jobless situation to their advantage, if we don't comply to all they say we get our centerlink payment suspended.
Sometimes I have no choice but to attend appointments with my grandaughter, a staff member one day was very upset that I had her with me. At first I thought she having a bad day until I realised she hates kids, because every time my granddaughter would talk she would cringe.
I'm now warned by her not to bring her or I get a demerit.
What a joke I mean I go in to center spend all if 5 mins then go and this beast if a women is attacking me on bringing a little girl who I babysit with me.
Shame on this women.
Honestly what is the problem her coming? Not like I'm at work.
I'm going to report this women to head office as she is a power freak I feel.yes you yes I'm talking about you B.

Incompetent workers. Very poor communication. Government (tax payers) waste of money. Control freaks having a thrill with their power trips. Just pathetic and ridiculous people. They are Clowns!
