9 degrees Boulder Gym reviews
55Great gym with some really creative route setting! Especially love the variety of climbs, you'll learn a lot here. Chill atmosphere as expected in a bouldering gym. There's coffee and snacks like pizza on hand too which is a nice treat.
It's great! A big selection of very different problems for beginners and advanced rock climbers
Great training spot. Nice atmosphere, regular boulder reset, kilter board, gym, good coffee. This place has everything you need.
Good cheap way fixed upper body strength. Also a full gym upstairs Also seniors or students card discount. Easy to bicycle to along Parramatta river cycle. The staff are friendly too. Coffee shop too!
One of the best climbing gyms in Sydney. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Most of the people there are super nice and supportive too. The climbs are spread well between all the levels of skill for all climbers. They have a weights area as well and space to store your bag. Definitely a must visit for any keen boulder climber. Shoe hire can be provided. They also serve really good barista style coffee
Parking at this site was limited but the venue itself was quite nice. Toilets were not kept clean though. Overall had a great time.
Great bouldering gym. Friendly staff, good routes and eslasy to read. Slack line is fun and the coffee is good. Also the warm up area and small gym is a nice addition to have.
Fantastic Gym. Very pleasant.good community. Pure joy and friendliness.
Extremely well balanced climbs. Can only talk for a Beginner to now an experienced individual. The different climb levels are not too far apart, if that makes sense, so it is pleasant and motivating to progress.
Cheers,
Dan
I’m mainly about food, but I do need to work off the calories to eat more food and this indoor bouldering gym at Alexandria gives me what I need.
Well rounded climbing gym. The setters here in particular seem to more recently have a good selection of interesting climbs. Well suited to all skill levels.
Good facilities and a little gym, plus good parking during the evenings even when busy.
Limited parking, small comp style sets and a single moonboard, stretching/gym placed in prime position for maximum toiletting acoustics, 2x low hangboards placed awkwardly close together with a rickety stool for positioning.
Underwhelming but friendly gym dog (pug) present.
Everything you expect in a modern inner city boulder gym. Five stars for truth in advertising.
Been my home gym for over a year now. Great clean place, amazing coffee, friendly staff, friendly crew. Wholesome place to chill at any time <3
Have been there like in 2018-2019 and started rock climbing back then.
Really Love the Location it’s fun and I recommend it defently to everyone who likes to travel and climb ️
Wow, just wow. Slack line, great climbs, coffee, pizza and community. Only issue is the showers are locked.
I am a beginner climber and this was a great place to go climbing. The staff are very friendly and willing to answer any questions.
Good bouldering place.
Edit: the below issues all solved. Amazing place!
Bring lots of water - didn’t see a drinking water tap like in gyms. Parking is difficult due to spaces.
I have attended Elissa’s yoga classes at Alexandria recently. Her yoga routine perfectly designed for climbers. In particular, I really enjoyed her hip opening class and the backbend class. Very interesting that she changes topic each week. Never would have guessed what to expect from her class. Definitely looking forward if other 9D could run similar classes. Big thanks for the fabulous Elissa again.:)

Very nice boulder gym. The boulders are more old school (more crimping and pulling) than other gyms in Sydney, which is great. The training could be better/bigger but it has enough things to train.
Great vibe and climbs when I come in for climbs at 6am! Also, great to see local support with the art and craft market coming up next month.
Outside there is litterlly 4/5 car spots that belong to the gym. Limited seating inside so most of the time I sat on the ground or edge on the mat which wasn't safe incase someone fell. Cafe consists of some ice bars, bananas and many protein/energy bars. No real food. The grading system should be more prominently displayed around the gym for the first timers not just at the entrance. No showers available due to covid restrictions.
Still worth a visit if you have eaten a good meal, catch shared or public transport and are an intermediate climber. Too hard for people new to climbing.
