5 Senses Garden reviews
8The five senses garden was my first time going there for a while, which I didn't know about till now, so I did have a fun time. I had morning tea and enjoy the day.
I had no idea that this place even existed! My daughter and I were heading to the Kokoda Trail and parked by the 5 Senses Garden. Was intrigued so we went in before starting the trail. What an amazing place.my daughter absolutely loved it! We walked through looking at the different plants. Then she had a play in the playground before we headed on our way. Definitely come back here!
Great garden for walking around and enjoying bush, birds and bees.
Lively skinks throughout and an abundance of Bush Tucker plants.
This is a fantastic park. There is a water pump for water play right next to a sandpit, a birds nest swing, musical instruments like a drum and xylophone, a metal frame to climb, stepping stones, a mud kitchen, a balance beam, a rocking bee and even a boat to play in. There are toys scattered throughout the garden. The park is gated which is hugely beneficial, and there is substantial parking just outside the gate. There are lots of shaded areas to sit including at a long picnic table, and other seating throughout the park. There’s a bin inside the garden at the rear gate and one near the entrance. There’s a bubbler in the middle of the garden. There are toilets right outside the gate as well as a cafe. There’s also a street library at the front gate.
5 Senses Garden is a Hidden Gem.
This great Sensory Space includes a community garden with Picnic Shelter and BBQ facilities alongside a beautifully designed play spaces. 5 Senses has been designed to be accessible, which is so wonderful.
The play space includes water pump and sandpit and there is also an accessible sand play table. There are findable animals etchings, a basket swing, rocker, timber balancing items and a hidden boat.
Bring children not just for the play equipment but for the wonderful garden elements you can find. Like the big hotel!
Kids loved the playground and water park. So close to Kakoda cafe and there is a 2 hour limit for parking but plenty of parking when we came. If you want to park for longer park near the Brays Bay reserve entry
What a fantastic space! Completely transformed from what it used to be. Fabulous natural and collaborative play options amongst beautiful landscaping. Perfect for kids & adults. We'll be back!
