3R Counselling Pre Marriage Education

Cynthia made the sessions very comforting and informative. My fiancée and I are in our mid to late 20’s and found that the pre-marriage counselling sessions were very eye opening. We learnt about techniques that helped us connect better with each other and we also learnt a lot about our selves.

My wife and I have been seeing Cynthia at 3R counseling for approx 2 months now.it has been rewarding working with Cynthia who is helping us ‘iron out the bumps’ and move our loving relationship to a higher level.

But it wasn't what we expected from the session. It felt like a structured program, and didn't cater to our problems that we we're having. We needed advice and practical solutions to help our marriage during that rocky time to help us.

Cynthia is a friendly, nice lady and she's a good listener. Had one session with her, but unfortunately, we haven't seen much improvements. 90 minutes for one sessions, about 10- 15 minutes is introduction from the counsellor herself, and about another hour is survey of me and my husband ourselves and the relationship mode of our parents. The rest 30 minutes, she showed us a video and a small activity/ interaction between me and my husband. She gave us a homework/ suggestion to do the next two weeks, but maybe because I studied psychology myself, the method I have already knew and used before with my husband. We didn't feel any deep analysis done based on our situation/issue. However, it is nice to talk and share something to a third person which you may not want to talk to your partner (to avoid a conflict). It is always mentally healthy to let it out sometimes. The session I had was about 2 weeks ago, but now me and my husband are separated. We are still trying to work this out, and none of us give up. But issue is still there, no significant changes so far. Hope anyone who are reading this have a good day. Good luck for all of us.

Cynthia has immensely helped my fiancé and I to prepare for marriage and also work on relationship challenges. She is so kind-hearted and has taught us useful skills to improve our relationship. Cynthia is a great counsellor for marriage and couples. She is doing gods work, and we were both equipped to deal with our relationship better and healthier! My husband and I did the pre-marriage course with Chitra a few months ago and had the most positive experience! Chitra was patient, and went through the course along with supporting us through our journey.
We feel empowered and well equipped to deal with any curve balls that life throws at us. All the tools and support from the course and Chitra's advice has had a profound impact in our lives. We went from tensed, anxious, left out and fearful to being more open, strong, positive and full joy.

Me and my wife had an enriching experience having taken up the counselling sessions with Chitra. She has helped us to map and navigate our transition to a married couple. She was very patient and went out of her way to guide us and worked on helping us understand where we are together now and where we aim to get to. She customised the session depending on where you are as a couple and what you would want from the session. It has greatly helped me and my wife in leading our new life together. I highly recommend 3R counselling, these sessions are definitely of great value!

Cynthia has such a kind hearted and beautiful energy. She offered supportive advice, listened to my worries and educated me through guidance and tools to improve my circumstances. We saw Cynthia for some pre marriage sessions then subsequently saw her for the Bringing Baby Home course! We would highly recommend this course to all prospective parents! Most hospital based antenatal courses focuses on the birth and sleep/feeding regimes but none focus as much on the emotional journey of impending parenthood. The content was complementary to the pre marriage course and we feel more confident within ourselves as we embark on this next phase of our lives! Cynthia was very flexible in arranging appointments and each session was always enjoyable. Highly recommended to other prospective parents!

So my fiancé and I went to a clinical psych for some pre-marriage counselling who specializes in anxiety, family and marriage counselling nearby which cost $220 an hour, we did 2 sessions and it was a very passive approach, felt aimless in discussions and really wasn't what we were looking for. Feeling deflated, a waste of money and silly as I was the one who organized it, I searched again online and found 3R.

We just finished the pre-marriage course which was 3 two hour sessions, which was jam packed with the best techniques, practical advice for relationships which is all evidence based research and absolutely what we were looking for.

After the first session with Cynthia my fiancé and I grew so much closer together and realized some blindspots in the relationship. She thanked me for organizing it which was great because she wasn't sure about the whole thing anymore after the first one we tried before.

We are now 1 month into our marriage and we have used a lot of what we have learned from Cynthia's course. Being someone who has done a few self development courses and my wife who is studying psychology - We learnt a lot and will recommend her to those preparing for marriage, newly married and established marriages.

Highly recommend, do yourself a favour and book it in- invest in your relationship - It's not a lot of money over a lifetime or give a gift to someone's relationship/marriage instead of that thing that they forget about in a few months.

My now wife and I visited Cynthia about six months ago and participated in the pre-marriage course.
