I decided to locum in PGY2 and was lucky enough to have Jess from 1Medical as my locum agent. She has gone above and beyond to source shifts that I want and to secure them. She’s been amazing at securing competitive rates for me and, has always booked travel and accommodation that are way beyond my expectations. I’ve had a great time working with Jess and I’m looking forward to doing more shifts with her. She’s easy to access whenever you need and she works really hard WITH you to get you what you need. I definitely would recommend Jess anytime, any day! Truly a legendary partnership here. I’ve been thoroughly well looked after.

I've been blessed to have Beatrix at 1Medical as my agency/agent:) My 1st locum experience has been nothing short of amazingness! Beatrix walked me through all the tedious paperwork and ensured everything's in place (flight/accommodation/car rental) before it started. During locum, she frequently checked on me which made me feel safe and looked after. She advocated for my benefits and rights throughout the process. Doctor shortage is a pandemic in this country and locum job opportunities are everywhere. But as a PGY3, Beatrix found me a place where I can safely practised medicine with sufficient supervision but also allows me to showcase and practise different skill sets. I believe a good locum agency/agent is all about matching different doctors of different levels/needs to appropriate positions amongst a sea of job opportunities. I reckon 1Medical and Beatrix did just that nicely and professionally. I cannot wait to get on another adventure with them in the near future!

Would highly recommend Nik Kalikajaros from 1Medical as your preferred locum agent. He has been an absolute legend. Very professional. Easy to contact with quick, concise and decisive replies. Nik has a very good reputation amongst the medical superintendents/Directors of Medical Services for the facilities he recruits to, so this would most definitely lead to preferential treatment for the more sought-after locations. I had an issue with qantas measing my flights up from regional QLD to Karratha at 11pm the day before I was supposed to fly out and he had it all sorted by the morning. You can't complain about that sort of service.

The service I received was exceptional. Benjamin Griffin and his team, were extremely efficient and professional, not to mention accomodating in meeting my specific needs.

I was extremely impressed by the flexibility in finding an appropriate placement, management of paperwork and offering various remuneration options.

Really great company to work with, and cliche as it sounds but they honestly go the extra mile to sort you out with what you need.
