Iluka Beach reviews
34 Beautiful spot. We went here when Hyams filled up. You'll need to pay to get into the national park. $13 for a 2-day pass (Jan 2024). There are toilets down the north end. There's not much parking.
Watch out for the giant red bull ants. They are aggressive and give a nasty sting/bite.
Apart from that the sand is beautiful, white and soft. The waves are small which is great for kids. There's no shops so pack your own food and drink.
I'd recommend packing a shade tent/umbrella. I wouldn't recommend sitting near the bush/trees due to the ants.
A hidden gem in Jervis Bay, Iluka Beach boasts clean white sand and clear, calm waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Surrounded by peaceful bushland, it’s a quiet escape from the crowds. Highly recommended for a serene beach day!
What a hidden gem this spot is, did coast $13 per vehicle to enter as part of ACT national parks. But there is camping at green patch right off the beach, definitely a must stay.
We drove here from Yamba to this beautiful beach. It takes about half an hour from Yamba & you end up on the other breakwater opposite the Yamba one. The beach is wide & long with soft white sand
What a secluded gem! I’ve been to a fair whack of Australia’s iconic beaches but this one seems extra special. Worth the drive. Would be nice to stay longer next time!
An incredible white sand beach in the south of Jervis Bay. Can sometimes see friendly kangaroos on the beach or in the carpark! The perfect location for a picnic and swim any time of year!
So beautiful.we were only ones there.sand so white easy to walk on.good parking area.gotta go back in summer!
Great beach. Not overcrowded. Not polluted from the recent storms. 10/10 would beach it up again, great beaching activities.
Stunning beach with Green Patch on the Southern End that makes for protected swimming in calm and crystal clear water. Nice walk up and down the beach. Good and clean facilities all around.
Not enough words in my dictionary to describe this beach
Just amazing and beautiful
My best beach in NSW so far:)
The long white sand beach is so soft and it is perfect for a walk in bare foot (also great for kids to play)
I had a good stroll yesterday and planning back to the beach for a swim today
Toilet near the car park
Iluka beach is next level take-your-breath-away beautiful. You enter through @seebooderee national park. It’s lush, fertile and green, so when you get your first diamond-shaped glimpse of aquamarine sea it’s like a mirage. A quick walk through the trees to the powdery white sand and your feet are almost in the waters of Jervis Bay. Unlike the more famous neighbour, Hyams Beach, Iluka is sparsely populated with people and without any millionaire mansions in sight. If you can ignore a little camping infrastructure up the way at Green Patch and the naval warships looming in the bay, it’s pretty much as nature intended it to be. We even saw dolphins cruising for snacks along the drop-off. This one is a beauty.
White sands, secluded waters and a beautiful location. A much better alternative than crowded Hyams Beach, although the sands are whiter there if that’s what you’re after.
Absolutely beautiful, white soft sands, calm water, great for young kids/young families, easy parking, everything you'd expect for a great day at the beach.
Incredible place even in the rain! Lots of wildlife and right off the Green Patch campgrounds. If you just want to visit it’s about a 5 minute walk from the car park. The rocks are best during low tide
Just a place to destress from the rift raft of stressful city life, and beautiful place to come camping with friends and family
Beautiful white sand beach in a protected part of Jervis Bay easily accessible from Iluka Rd carpark and camping grounds
Amazing place and clean. Water is very clear. Pretty much the same as Hyams Beach but not crowded. Better choice for social distancing this pandemic.
Iluka Beach inside the Booderee National Park is the most perfect beach for the whole family. There is plenty of parking around and it’s about a 5min walk from the car park to the beach. These is a lot of shared area behind the beach with picnic table and space to set up for the day. The beach has a connecting creek during high tide and is perfect for the kids to play in and around to see fish, catch crabs and have a swim. The beach is calm and the water is crystal clear. This place most defiantly won’t disappoint.
Amazing white sand beach, you can enjoy the quiet beach most of the time as no many people come hear. Toilets and picnic area nearby.
My brother got married here; it is an absolutely beautiful beach with pristine white sands. There is a carpark with toilets and a walkway to the beach.
