Booderee National Park reviews
57 It's a beautiful place to have fun with family and friends. At Green patch the BBQs are awesome. Toilets and showers are neat.
The beach and water at the green patch is beautiful and white sand.
$13 to enter per vehicle. Many places to see. Just ask the cashier in the booth for interesting places to visit. Nice beach and nice view. Petted kangaroos. No whales.
Beautiful with a lot of signs around the tracks to make sure you know witch area you were at. Plenty of restrooms and tables for a nice picnic! Loved it
Thankyou to Morgan of the park management with your assistance in finding us a site for two nights over the recent school holidays. Very friendly and helpful.
A beautiful and well managed park.
The entrance fee costs $13 bucks and headed out to one of the beaches but a bit disappointed cause of the seaweeds all over, so annoying to swim even though the water was clear. It’s good for camping and hiking trails or even for picnic. The beach scenery was terrific and felt like it’s your own private beach resort when there’s not too much crowd.
Beautiful national park. Several beaches, picnic areas, walking trails and also a botanic garden. I can get quite busy on summer or holidays. Some of the carparks were full when we visited, but still manage to visit some beautiful places. Park has several restrooms and drinking water taps. I will definitely come back.
We had a great time visiting Booderee National Park. We camped at Green Patch just before school holidays. Based on the cars it looked busy, but it didn't feel that way which was great!
The beach is absolutely lovely and surrounded by the bush.
The following is my take on the Booderee National Park camping facilities. Toilets, Bathrooms, and Urinals are well maintained. Free firewood and fireplaces.
Walking distance to a lovely beach. Lots of places to fish if you are a fishing aficionado. Rubbish disposal facilities are also good.
On the flip side- There is no proper drainage for the drain water in many camping sites. The camper has to fend for himself. Add to this misery; this water attracts lots of leeches and other parasites. This is a danger to the health and safety of kids and other campers.
If you have a good camping wan, you are fine. People who use a tent are the one who suffers the most. You will have to put your tent up in this darkish smelly water surrounding you. A photo is attached for your reference.
Most of the wild animals are fed by previous campers and are eager to have a bite from other campers' food. They are a nuisance if you want a quiet time eating your food and watching the time fly by.
Crimson rosellas, kangaroos, and kookaburras are present to eat from your hand. Possums and Long-nosed bandicoots and Snakes too were present during our stay.
A beautiful, well managed park with significant cultural history. All campers were quiet and respectful (maybe I got lucky). Thankyou to Morgan of the park management with your assistance in finding a suitable flat site. A place to go and appreciate the beauty this country possesses that no other in the world has.
Great park with lotsa places to visit. We did the following:
Booderee Botanic Gardens
Cave Beach
Green Patch Beach
Murrays Beach
Hole in the wall
Brooks Lookout
Cost is $13 per vehicle which gives you a 2 day pass. See attached map of the National Park
Wonderful views, great beaches, well looked after, fabulous walks and whale spotting. One price for a two day entry is great value.
Crystal clear sand and scenic beaches. There is entry fee of 13$ and camping sites are present inside the national Park. Can see wallabies roaming around near caves beach. And a beautiful sunset lookout point as well near caves beach.
The three stars are for the beautiful park.
The other two empty ones are for their pathetic management of this national treasure.
Like Kakadu, it has been run into the ground. No vision, no capital investment, and federal funding that is not accounted for.
It is being run as a business, pure and simple, which would be almost fine if it wasn’t for your taxpayer dollars paying for the losses they run.
The smokescreen of safety is regularly used to close the park. Be warned… better still spend your money elsewhere.
It needs a shakeup pure and simple.
Stop the entitlement, start the change.
Being a local and finding the place closed so much in the last 2 years has become a problem.locals are complaining when in clubs and gatherings we pay full price for our pass and no rebate.now they are paid for on line, need to look after the locals because they help them when they need it so let's see what happens.we are they 3 times a week if open.
Beautifully presented and maintained by the local community and mobs at Wreck Bay. An absolutely amazing, relaxing and calming vibe to the park full of nature and home to many animals.
Beautiful national park with amazing beaches. Really appreciated how welcoming and lovely the lady at the desk was, thank you for being so nice!
It's spectacular. The beaches are great, camping locations very well organised with easy access to the beach. Amenities well kept (clean)
We stayed at Green Patch in the Y section and the campsites were great! Not too many people, as the campsites aren't on top of each other and felt private as you had trees surrounding you. Was very beautiful to camp here despite getting downpours every night. The surrounds at Jervis bay were very good too with beautiful beachs and lots of kangaroos to see. Would definitely recommend coming to Jervis Bay but specifically Green Patch and Y section!
Come from Melbourne, Victoria
Every year I come here to visit the beach, and never been disappointed. Buy your pass online so you beat the queue, trust me they run your number plate so you don’t have to ask for a windshield sticker.
After trekking through the trails you might spot a couple of amazing places to set up base and hit the beach … my personal fave is Cave Beach (but the other access trail). Some spots have showers, others don’t … be sure to map out ahead and bring water/sunscreen because it gets hot quick.
Great Park, well maintained and plenty to do for the day. The woman at the entrance is also so friendly and nice, suggesting things to do and telling us about the park, great customer service
