Good food, reasonably price with friendly staff. Beer is cold and refreshing. Plenty of tables great atmosphere. Great ocean view

The food was amazing, also drinks, the place is very clean.toilets also clean, but unfortunately the service is the worst I ever had.staff are not friendly, they’re are not even respectful, I have an argument with the counter girl, and she just say to me (that she’s not gonna waste her time explain me why I can not ask for Hal a half pizza flavor, even do I offer to pay more) I ask to talk to the manager.the answer was no, also ask to talk to the cheff also no)
I went 2 times.and that’s it.spending 2 weeks on the island.and I chose pay a rent with a place with a kitchen and don’t go back again … customer service is one of the most important things … highly recommend change your behavior with your client ms.the fact your almost the only restaurant on here.doesn’t gave you a permit to treat people disrespectful.the less that a customer deserves is an explanation! Or talk to the manager.this happened in all the world! It was very sad also see the employees so unhappy in their jobs. I feel pity for them …. Thanks to the cheff for the food was incredible. I really hope the cheff found another job or open his own restaurant!

Disgusting place full of smokers. Its not the frikkin 70s or 80s, smoking is ILLEGAL in pubs and taverns for decades, but this stupid place still sllows it. Should be reported! Sat on the ocean side to try and escape it. Ordered a pizza which was revolting.

On July 7th 2022 I ordered the Duck with Peking sauce but was eventually served a smallish lump or raw flesh which was barely warm and quite tough and chewy texture. For health and safety reasons poultry needs to be cooked and for satisfaction it needs to be served as a hot dish. The seven meals arrived intermittently and in a haphazard order. Very disappointing
and expensive experience.

Friendly staff. Reasonably priced drinks. On one occasion our chilli muscles were rather salty and were barely edible but that may just be our preference. Otherwise the meals we had there were good wholesome pub food. Lovely outlook over the ocean towards the setting sun. Good place to wind down at the end of the day.

You have to ask who is cooking! If it is the sweaty bald Alcoholic that normally washes dishes. Save you money. Go else where. Depends on who is cooking. Size and quality varies too often.

Grear place for a meal and to watch the sunset.

Ate here 2 nights in a row and going again tonight. Unfortunately due to no supply ship being able to land since November, a few things on the menu were not available. The sirloin steak which we chose on the first night was the best steak I have had for as long as I can remember. Cooked exactly as we asked, tender and full of flavour. I had to have it again the second night and it was just as good. My wife had the barramundi on night 2 and it was perfect. Busy place but service was excellent, could not fault it.

We had pasta and Caesar salad. Both dishes were excellent. If you’re on Christmas Island this is probably your best bet for eating out

Very nice pub overlooking the ocean the food was great and the beer was nice and cold service was friendly and helpful.

Great relaxing spot, view is awesome with sunset out front and the gorgeous cove with its industrial romance on show to the left. They're almost giving the drinks away at those prices with friendly service and the meals are tasty and reasonably priced given the GPS coordinates, any complaints from visitors about the price of restaurant meals on the island are unjustified in my opinion, just consider the logistics!
Here for a week, we'll be back again for sure!

Nevilles been to the Golden Bosun a few times in past and always had an enoyable time. The grog was always cold and the food was alright. Nevilles been to plenty of places in big cities not half as good as this.

Great memories, friendly staff, good food and a great selection of beers! Been a long time between drinks but glad The Bosun hasn't changed too much.

Great ambience, magnificent sunsets. The Australian assume meals are usually very good, large servings. One of best meals on the island. Drinks are reasonably priced, but as with all Christmas island restaurants, the food is expensive (due to transport costs). A favourite place for a relaxing nice meal.

Best place on the island for western food. Steaks can be hit and miss, but everything else is reliably good. Always busy, but meals come out pretty quickly. A few tv screens, so it's a good place to go when the footy is on.
