Greta Beach reviews
10A bit a drive in on narrow track, then a fairly short walk from the small nook you can park you car in. The steep ladder/stairs down the cliff face to the beach are unique good structure. The beach itself is fairly small and unfortunately littered with plastic washed in from the sea but certainly worth a look.
The place is very heavenly, the water is crystal clear and the weather is wonderful for swimming. Unfortunately, that was three hundred years ago. Since Greta Thunberg was here, everything has been littered, dirty and filthy. These climate glues must finally be stopped.
Massive hike to get there. Swell very rough. Wouldn’t advise swimming. No phone reception. Small patch of sand. When the road is fully open it’s still very steep 4wd track. The footpath through the bush was hard to follow. We had to lay ‘breadcrumb’ tracks in case we got lost. Council should make the track from the road to the boardwalk easier to find.
Had a swim and picnic here! 4WD track not well maintained at all so we walked don't if the way, it was worth it! Take a bag provided from top of walk way to collect rubbish while there, filled a bad easily.
Nice beach, unfortunately there's tons of trash washing up here annually, from Indonesia and SE Asia, however large bags are available for visitors to make a positive impact & help with the clean up
Ok Beach with a 200m walk to get there.plenty of coconut and red crabs to be seen while walking.
It ends with stairs going down to the beach. Please take a bag provided at the start of the trek and clean some of the rubbish on the beach. I've been told currents are bringing the plastic bottles on the beach where it gets trapped.
Finally, you'll need a 4wd to get there, or park at top of the hill and go for a ~1h trek to get there.
A lovely place to visit if your lucky you may see some marine animals such as large turtles as we did today. To access here you need to be able to walk easily and climb down and up stairs that are quite high.
Wonderful lonely place. Reachable with 4WD. Or better by foot 70 min from mainroad. You only meet natur’s lovers. But miserably you see an average sample of in Indonesia used plastic trash, thrown away without using brain. When can man recognize, that we only have one blue planet for living.
Australia is one of the places I have always wanted to vist, & is on my bucket list along with Alaska & New Zealand.
It is so sad that our beautiful oceans and seashores are being held captive by the trash that floats in the water & clutters our beaches ruining beautiful sandy beaches where those who live on the island & visitors would otherwise be able to enjoy.
If each person were to pick up one piece of the floating debris & dispose of it into large recycle bins, maybe we could possibly return the beaches to their former pristine beauty.
Could be a beautiful beach, but unfortunately it gets a lot of ocean borne rubbish washed into what should be a pristine turtle nesting area. If you go down there, please take a bag from the Carpark and remove some of the trash.
If you want to shock yourself into rethinking humanity's plastic usage, this is the place to go.
