Wildflour Artisan Bakery & Cafe reviews
43Yum yum yummmnn go ahead and treat yourself. There are amazing selections of pastry that can tap dance on your tastebuds!
I wondered why the basic place across the road was packed and this fancy bakery was quiet…. But I thought I’d give it a try…
The coffee isn’t bad although they only have two sizes and I would have preferred the next size up…
But the ham and cheese croissant pulled from the warming cabinet was literally vomit worthy… they must use a crème cheese or similar on the inside and a tasty cheese on top, that’s not terrible - I’m sure many people would like that… but the ham inside that was that old and crispy from the heating cabinet it felt like crackle - not ham - disgusting!
Surely, having fresh ham and cheese in a croissant and the waitress throwing it into a toasting oven for 2 minutes isn’t going to kill their chances of getting home on time!?
Anyway. Last time. I’ll stick to the tuck-shop across the road.
The girl at the counter snatched the menu away from my hands saying the kitchen’s closed sorry! Could have said it in a mannered way I understand certain kitchens close 30 mins prior to close time. I grabbed a couple croissants off the shelf which were soggy and filled with too much ube and hazelnut filling. Just not fresh!
Asked for a small skinny cap and she just casually punched in a large without even asking! Not happy at all.wish I had a better experience as I love going to cafes on a Sunday.
The pastry was nice. A trendy place. Feels like busy and the music is loud. The breakfast plates were nice. Instagramable! But had a too-strong flavour for breakfast I think. I am a bit shocked chilly on scrambled eggs. It was my bad that I did not check the menu thoroughly. The coffee was perfect. I was a bit annoyed by a pay machine and the QR code order system that asked for tips. It was funny as I had to get cups and a bottle of water by myself. Even no one comes to take my order and ask for tips?
We passed by Canberra this morning on our way to Moruya and found this cafe recommended as being good for families with kids. We ordered a couple of croissant, sausage roll and the Avo.
The place is quite cosy and nice. The outdoor area is perfect for families and the small cubby house playground is perfect for a quick play by the kids before and after food.
The food however did not satisfy our palate. As amazing as it looks, taste wise was a bit disappointing. The pistachio and hazelnut croissants were more towards bready type croissant rather than the flaky pastry. The flavoured custard fillings had a strong taste of store bought custard powder. Though the custard fillings were generous, the after taste of the custard powder put us off.
The sausage roll was just ok. Nothing exciting to note.
The pancakes were not that great and a few bites were enough.
The avo tasted good however it unfortunately had a couple of things that can be improved. The poached eggs were more of soft boiled eggs as the yolk was not as runny as expected when you cut into it. The avo smash on the sourdough was a but too little. The avo smash we’re used to was more generous with the avo rather than just a thin layer of it.
Overall it was an ok experience but would not go back as it has nothing too exciting that would draw us back here.
Such a good cafe! Food is great, coffees and pastries delicious, and great service from the staff!
Today we spent $85 for 2 horrible chicken burgers, and 3 small drinks. Weak coffee but the real issue was the burgers. We couldn't finish them. We both felt sick. The chicken was some burnt mash up of scraps on tip top buns with a bit of Coleslaw (salad was extra $). I went in and spoke the gentleman at the counter, he offered me a pastry but by that stage we couldn't eat or a coffee card but we wont be back there. Even partial refund would ease the pain but to know we spent nearly a hundred bucks on awful food really ruins the day.
Beautiful cafe serving delicious food and coffee. Do try their amazing range of specialty croissants.
Highly recommend!
Coffee was pretty good, however the food was underwhelming for the price. I would not come back for that reason
Was down from Sydney visiting family.
The croissants were so good. We had the chocolate, Hazelnut and Pistachio. The Pistachio was the winner for me. Ended up coming back the next day and got the pancakes which were delicious.
The coffee was strong and tasty. The food range is wide and tasty. I did have a pastry early afternoon and it wasn't the best. My lunch was very tasty and fresh.
Amazing food and coffee. If you go on the weekend there will be children everywhere, so if thats not your jam you might get annoyed. Otherwise a great spot.
The food was lovely but a bit overpriced. The location is amongst industrial buildings so it's convenient when you want a bite as you're shopping. But it doesn't give off the best atmosphere. The seating area is well designed with a nice playground for the kids. The croissants are delicious and that's the best thing about this place. A lovely spot for brunch.
Great service, didn’t take long to receive our drinks and meals. Amazing kids play area outside. The food was yum but the avo toast has way too much parsley on it, I definitely recommend on cutting that down a bit. The snickers milkshake was also super tasty but the nuts in it blocked the straw with every sip. Definitely recommend!
Great Cafe tucked away in Fyshwick.
The food is high quality and gourmet, the price is high but respective of the quality.
Wonderful playground for the kids to play while you enjoy the meal.
A great family-friendly cafe with mini playground, and covered outside seating. The food is high-quality - they do a great breakfast/lunch menu as well as a range of pies and tarts. Plenty of parking available. The green interior creates a nice ambience but you may prefer the outside areas as the music can get a bit loud.
Nearly $50 for 3 pies and bottles of soft drink is pretty rich. And the cheeseburger pie is very ordinary. Likely won't be back.
Website said open with dine in and take away. Came for brunch and kitchen closed. Waste of time.
Always on the hunt for a good Egg N Bacon roll, and I can say first time coming here I was impressed. Cooked to your liking with heaps of bacon and a egg of course, best of all it was not fancy just simple and Delicious.
Maybe a once off. No one bothered to tell me they had run out of my ordered item. Waited for an hour till i asked where is my meal. Previous visit was great and remains great for kids
