Weston Park reviews
66There is lots of space here with many areas to have secluded children's parties or other group activities. The railway and Cafe are open at specific times and there are swings and a water play area with a bridge that has bells on it which you ring with your foot! Watch out for the lake on the northern edges of this park.
The lungs of Canberra. Large park around the lake with lots of quiet picnic spots and not so quiet places to go with the kids. We saw a mob of wallabies when we came in late evening.
Water Play has been turned back on for Spring/Summer of 2023-2024. The area has been cleaned and new water flowing as of October 2023.water play pump not functioning on the 10th of October and has been reported to Fix my Street for repairs.
Great spot for a cool down and hands on water play, would recommend and bring a change of clothes for the kids.
Design of the water play area also includes accessibility options for wheelchair users at the low levels and upper levels.
Extensive picnic, recreation and walking area around south-western part of Lake Burley Griffin. Many picnic facilities, a beach area, walking/cycling path, disc golf course. Very peaceful.
Weston Park in Canberra is a beautiful park with something for everyone. The playgrounds are fantastic for kids, while the lakeside offers a tranquil spot for picnics or a stroll. The park also features barbecue areas, tennis courts, and bike paths. The well-maintained gardens provide a lovely backdrop for family outings or events. The only downside is that the park can get crowded on weekends and public holidays. Overall, it's a great destination for those looking to enjoy the outdoors in Canberra.
A relaxing place to visit with your whole family. There are multiple activities including a mini golf course.
This place is a not so little gem smack in the middle of Canberra. There is a very pleasant walking track, abundant picnic spots and BBQs along with structured play areas for kids and a cafe. There is a toilet block not far into the park.
Water play is great in the summer when its clean. The train ride is very cool. With a little drive past zoo which is very exciting for the kids.
Just as beautiful as when I was a kid. Watching the Galahs and Duckies grazing in the grass together is adorable! A sight to behold if you go early in the morning.
Very disappointing from what use to be a very amazing park for kids. A good majority of the equipment was run down or not even existing.
Best bbq park in Canberra. You can find everything at weston park: bbq areas, playground, play station for kids, little zoo. Make bbq and enhoy amazing lake view!
Nice place for a walk around the lake, different species of birds, has a play area for kids, and has a cafe and public toilets. Can’t think of a better place.
Very well maintained park with fantastic facilities for enjoy a fat out and walking. Great old trees and keep an eye out for the resident mob of kangaroos. Very peaceful.
This is a very relaxing place to enjoy the Canberra environs and peoples company. The facilities have been updated.
Great place for families to walk, have a picnic or child's party and dog park for mans best friend
Weston Park is always a delight. From the kangaroos wandering around in the morning light, to the sunsets overlooking the lake and the arboretum its a great spot. The Play station is a great spot for a catchup and coffee with friends. There is also plenty to do with the kids. The Yarralumla nursery is nearby and also a great spot too.

One of my favourite parks in CBR. Plenty of parking space, roos skipping around, public toilets nearby wherever you go, well maintained year round. It seems to be the first one the reflect the seasons around here and the colours are different on every visit.
Beautiful and most peaceful. This is a great spot for families and for anyone just wanting to enjoy the serenity of water, shady trees, lush grass and calming vistas.
Lots of space for picnics, running around. There are good play facilities for children, public barbecues, a cafe with mini golf and mini train rides
Western park railway station cafe had stop serving coffee just after 2: 30 pm. Parking and toilets were easy access lot of grass and trees to explore some playgrounds further up. I went there with my grandpa who in his 90s and my parents.
