Tried the paella, it was terrible! The seafood is rubbery and overcooked. No seasoning and paprika! Avoid the paella. ’

It's an open air food court, which is set in a leafy courtyard (summer) with the incredible bonus of a licensed bar. So, it's effectively a buffet catering to everyones tastes, fresh vegetable stir fries, burgers, pizzas and a pint or nice glass of wine.

Gets super busy so you need to book. Staff nice and food is good, though not a huge amount of healthy choices.

My Feedback and experience.

New to Canberra actively searching for venues to celebrate my best friends 40th birthday later this year. I called 3 places only to be told they were booked out. I then called and checked with Vanity Lane and asked to speak with an event manager or a party coordinator and was transferred through to a lovely lady named Stephanie. She was such a delight! And i thought great this lady knows what she is talking about, after openly speaking with her she reasured me she will do what ever she can to help me pull this party off. With that said I went through some dates with her, she gave me a run down on menus, room hire, how many guests for catering estimated costs.nothing was too hard she really knew what she was talking about to make the customer happy, her attention to detail was outstanding she was articulate and professional and that was just in a phone call.love it!
I look forward to speaking with her again to lock in a date once I have confirmed with my bestie.

Thank again you so much Stephanie for your kindness and professionalism you really know your stuff.

Plenty of delicious food choices (the crispy eggplant bao and pizzas are favs) with a nice drinks selection at the bar. Chill atmosphere with lots of space and a good crowd.

@Natashadawson
I don't understand your post, as my experience with Stephanie has always been outstanding. Always displaying the most helpful attitude and going way above her charter to ensure her clients are happy! Perhaps a short discussion with Stephanie would have been more appropriate, rather than these underserved comments which appear more personal than accurate!

Such a breath of fresh air in Canberra. Steph & her team make booking the venue and their exceptional customer service such an enjoyable experience.

Awesome spot with heaps of drink and food options. Its tough to get a table on weekends though, so make sure to book if you can. Prices are reasonable, and they have snacks and desserts available too.

This is a nice option for when you want just to grab a quick bite.

Try the Argentinian Choripan (Chorizo on bread)

Whole food hall and only one thing to eat that's vegan and it's a salad. It's like stepping back in time to before we lived in a vegan paradise where vegan food products were everywhere.

Was really hoping the vibe was as good as it looks online, obviously great marketing. Felt like one big fancy cafeteria/food section of a mall. I got pasta and it was a very expensive albiet tasty pasta, but an entree portion. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be back as there are some other amazing places in Canberra that offer more vibe + food at a lower cost

This is one of the coolest places to go eat in Canberra in my opinion. I would highly recommend the tuckshop! Their food is one of a kind, so unique as it is south African food and I have never been to a south African restaurant before also such wonderful flavours! The staff is also so friendly especially the owner amy!

Market Hall with something for everyone - including seats! Great place to go if you haven't booked anywhere

We went to Politics in the Pub upstairs, which was good, but downstairs we weren't excited about the food offerings. Little really tempted us and the prices were high. Maybe not aimed at our demographic.

Great vibe. Love it where they split the place into 2 levels where upstair is a lot quiet and less crowded.

Nice indoor location, decent range of foods with a convenient bar. Verity lane martinis were very good from the bar.

Verity Lane is a boutique food hall which opened towards the tail end of 2020. For such a unique concept, it's never had the hype it deserved. This is possibly due to COVID interruptions leading to a limited number of vendors. I personally loved the concept, building design, styling and chilled vibes. If you like food courts at malls, here's the after hours, grown up version.

It's a very beautifully designed food hall, with 2 main entrances for customers. [From Northbourne & from the carpark]. It's very easy to pick up or collect food, since there's plenty of parking space.
There's 3 main spaces, plus one upstairs. By the carpark, there's an outdoor casual space for drinks and chit chat. (Too cold for the Canberra winter and not in use)
The indoor space is partitioned into 2: One giving wine bar vibes (see big wall of drinks) & the other giving mess hall vibes.
It's easy to circulate and order what you want. Menus are clear and concise.

At this time, there are only 3 food places. Ramen Daddy, Artigiana, and Super Bao. If you're looking for Dear Prudence, Project Enoki or Uno Tapas, they are long gone. There's only one place for drinks - Louie Louie.

Recommend:
Tiramisu ($12) Pizza Artigiana.
3 Baos for $21 from SuperBao
Fries and ramen gravy ($8) from Ramen daddy.
For the non alcoholics, try a freshly squeezed juice from the bar ($7). Also remember to ask for water here as the food places don't seem to have cups or water bottles.
For something filling, try Artigiana's 4 cheese pizza.

Limited choice of food with only pizza, bao and ramen. It was very busy when we visited on a Friday night so bookings are essential.
