Two Sisters Lao Thai Cuisine reviews
56Great place, good service and prices. The massaman beef and yum crispy chicken was really good, would recommend going and trying the food with friends and family.
My favourite restaurant in Canberra. I don’t usually like pork however i will order the crispy pork stir fry anyday from this restaurant. Staff are so lovely and kind, service is quick and the food is 10/10. Highly recommend
One of my favourite restaurants, the food is absolutely amazing and the staff are great and very accommodating! Always love coming here
Unfortunately you can thank Deliveroo for the one star review.don't be upset with me for this review; if I was the owner of this restaurant, I'd seriously reconsider your partnership with Deliveroo.
Ordered our meals around 6pm with an expected arrival time of 655pm. When there was no update on our meals, called the restaurant to find out that the driver had not even arrived to collect our order.
Finally got hold of a customer service rep aeound 8pm from deliveroo who could only say that there was an issue and they could reallocate another driver. Too little too late, the food would have been cold by time it arrived.
Yes, this is a reflection on the restaurant as this is part of the service they offer. Therefore, it gets one star. The was also a service fee of $3.99 charged and a $4.99 delivery, so not sure where these funds are going to.
Ended up cancelling the order with a full refund. Won't order form here again. This delivery service is doing a true disservice to your establishment and hurting your reputation.
This review is specially for the Vegetarians. We are Vegetarians NOT Vegan. Whichever Thai restaurants we have been, they always have couple of curries, specially green and red curry. However, this restaurant puts fish sauce in the base gravy and were unable to serve the popular green curry (which is for Vegetarians) even as per their menu. We love Thai food and chose the restaurant on our anniversary day. We were extremely disappointed to leave as there was not a single vegetarian curry without the fish sauce. I wish we knew this before planning our dinner
Iam so happy to finish my lunch this place very yummy food ofter long time I had delicious food. What Iam asking spicy they are making perfectly. Highly recommend
We used to dine year 10 years ago. However yesterday we revisit canberra and took my family here. Food is standard. Pad thai and fish fillet dish were nice. Pad see ew, duck and snow peas stir fry, especially som tum are are quite disappointed. Hope you can improve on these dishes.
We went to Two Sisters last night for dinner. We ordered Tom Yum soups and duck curry with rice, which kept us waiting for 45 minutes. We also found a fly in the soup. That’s a terrible experience.
The most amazing mussaman I have ever had. Every time I work in Canberra it's my favourite place to eat and takeaway
Had the worst pad thai till now. Too much sauces specially the fish sauce I guess in it. Other dishes were again average. Average portion size as well.
Nice atmosphere, food was good (a little stingey with the seafood in the pad thai). Wait staff were polite but a bit incompetent (dishes from our order were forgotten, had to ask for glasses etc). Overall a decent experience, I'd come back, but there's room for improvement
Very nice Lao Thai restaurant, vegan friendly, they made the pad see ew vegan for us and it was really good. It was easy to order as the waitress knew what vegan meant. Friendly and helpful staff, great service, beautiful place. Will definitely come back.
I'm so disappointed with these guys tonight. Normally I enjoy their food but tonight I wish I was dining in so I could send it back. I ordered Singapore noodles, which I've ordered from here before, and they're gross. The noodles are super wet when they're supposed to be dry and they taste more like Pad Thai than Singapore noodles, it's actually inedible. I wouldn't be so disappointed if I hadn't had the dish from here before and knew that they've made it well previously but just phoned it in tonight. We also found chicken in my partner's vegetarian curry. It also took 35 minutes to prepare our food when I was told it would take 15. It's fine if you're busy and need more time, just tell people so they don't have to wait around for 20 minutes. I won't be going back here any time soon, so disappointing.
Got the Papya salad take away and I'm not sure if its because it was take Way or that's just how they do it there but it was hands down the worst pasta salad I've ever had. A soggy soupy mess. There was zero crispness. The tomato's were disgusting like they were a week old. So disappointed. Sunday evening 630.
Food was great and a really good price. But the service was pretty terrible we had to get our own serviettes from another table, we also helped ourselves to a water bottle, no more drinks offered, no desert menu offered, shame to spoil good food with not great service
Delightful venue with lovely ambience. Overlooks activity of Dickson shopping streets. Meals were traditional Thai with lots of spice. Friendly staff. A really nice experience. Will return for evening meal.
Food was delicious. Very kind workers and service was outstanding. Tom Yum was very tasty and flavourful! And the main dishes were amazing. Highly recommend.
Food is delicious but service is borderline appalling when ordering take away. The place is a victim of its own popularity with long waits and not enough staff.
Uber eats orders are particularly bad - the place constantly updates the status of uber orders to say they are ready for pick up only to find when you get to the restaurant that there is still another 20-30 minute wait. Exceptionally frustrating.
Food was absolutely amazing. Service was terrible.
We waited 25min in a half full restaurant just to have our order taken. Food came quick, but waiters were impossible to catch for drinks or even a water refill. They seemed to forget that their banquet menu came with a desert. Next time takeaway for sure
Standard Thai / Asian dishes, nothing
Lunch Menu is good, lots of options for everyone from pad thai to green and red curry.
Downsides, they dont split bills, makes choosing this place to go out with your team a hard one.
Price per dish on the lunch menu is also pushing the upper limit of what it should be.
I would also like to see more filler in the lunch dishes.
The amount of meat you get is good but they only give you a small amount of rice, rice is so cheap that I would expect they give you more than they do.
