Tilley's Devine Cafe Gallery reviews
68Every time I come back here it reminds me of when I was young in high school. The ambiance is much the same. The New York cheese cake and chai tea are the same for the last 10 plus years. Bit pricey but like everywhere else what’s new. Had a lovely afternoon tea with my kids.
Tilleys has always been a favorite of this family.
We had dinner on the weekend.
The food was very good but the drinks were very expensive.
One glass of reisling on pint of beer $29.10.10% weekend charge plus credit card. Same with the food.
Same drinks Edgar's $23. Less kids running around and more comfortable seating.
Don’t come here! Pancakes were out of cold storage and not even heated up - stone cold. No maple syrup and what arrived after asking was a thimbleful. Tea was a cheap Twinings bag you can buy in bulk from any supermarket. Asked for and paid extra for compote which was inedible. Never again.
Ordered at the bar and, although busy, really found a suitable seat. Drinks came promptly and good in very reasonable time- before finishing drinks. Great Caeser salad. Only suggestion is that I recommend keeping Gluten-free croutons.
Love this place, always nice. Food is good for breakkie. Nice service too! Friendly staff.
The deserts are great, and food is well prepared, even if the options are not known to you. Don't be afraid of trying, but there are several "safe options" for the least adventurous
Love the vibe, and the coffee is nearly always excellent. Seat cushions on interior benches are badly in need of new leather and filling
I live in Brisbane and every time I visit Canberra I move heaven and earth to visit my favourite Cafe in Canberra. Fantastic coffee, great ambience and just an round wonderful spot to hang out.
Great service. Accidentally paid twice after online service said payment failed. Staff figured out the problem very quickly and refunded with cash quickly. Above expectations.
Started by the one and only woman who could run this aptly named venue. A long illustrious history, began as women only, and questions asked in Parliament. Challenged all those rules and co-opted those rules. Hallelujah how we still love it. Now employs the grandchildren of the women who began it.
And we owe this to Paulie and we all need to look after her now, years and years of unremitting work has left her with all those work related ailments that come from too many hours, too little money, too little time to look after herself
Tilleys hosted my mother's first Major Art Exhibition.
Was so good! You can tell the staff take pride in their work and want to be there. They were friendly and fast. The food was delicious. You can order by the QR code at the table or at the counter. I would definitely go back. Probably not have the English muffin thing again as that was a bit heavy but the other stuff looked great! Milkshake was really good.
Excellent atmosphere, food and staff. Was a great way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon. Definitely would go back!
This place has a nice vibe. On a hot Sunday morning we liked having a choice of outdoor tables in the shade and a choice of music level.
None of us would recommend any of the food. The worst was a toasted sandwich of uncooked bacon (too much) and slimy brown hot avocado. That was truly inedible. Fritters were greasy and tasteless.
What's with these hyped up places? Service is shoddy. We ordered 3 coffees, 2 of which came after the food and the third hasn't shown up yet. Food is pricey and the big breakfast isn't very big.
Coffee wasnt as good as i remeber, used to be my go to in lyneham might have to try next door again
Hi. Tilleys need a good clean up outside.if you have the money some new tables and chairs outside. U have good staff and food. Sorry.
It's an institution, but I'm not sure why. Trapped in the '90s with ambivalent service, awful segafredo coffee and greasy, salty food. Tried it a few times over the years, always the same.
Paid $22 for a chicken shnitzel burger that at best could be compared to the food you would find at a truck stop. Shnitzel tasted like fish and was smaller than my hand, it clearly was fried in the same oil as this fish. Burger was mostly iceberg lettuce and bread. The cheese was store bought highly processed plastic. But hey this chips i had to pay extra for were edible. Wont be back.
Very disappointing experience. Wait staff were the notable exception, very friendly and not their fault. Paid way too much for poached egg with bacon and mushroom. No butter on dry toast, over cooked egg, precooked and reheated rubbery bacon. No garnish, no condiments. I requested butter but it never arrived. Too dry to eat. Warm orange juice, no ice. Kids meals served with fork and steak knives. The kids are 2 and 4.
I can't remember a worse cooked meal. If you fell for the emperor's new clothes, Tilly's might be the place for you. If you like good food at a fair price, avoid it.
Always good coffee and good service. I have eaten here several times over the years and have never been disappointed.
Great place. Awesome bar with booths as well. Had poached eggs with hollandaise on really nice ciabatta toast. I think this was $16.
Good atmosphere.
Good service.
