Throsby Playground reviews
19 Upgraded - December 2021 with new shade sails as part of the fencing/shade sail 2021 upgrades.
Big playground with multiple sections designed for all ages and abilities.
Safely away from roads with wetlands, grass areas and pond to its surroundings.
The fencing upgrade encloses the playground for the busy main road and surrounding waters, originally a fence existed to keep kids safe from wondering into the wetlands.

Excellent equipment and landscaping, unfortunately there's no rubbish bin so there's a lot of rubbish under the in-ground trampoline. My children (1.5 and 4 currently) loved the equipment options, it's so nice to have pieces suited to varied ages and abilities.
This is an excellent part for kids around the age of 2-3 years old. Plenty of seating for adults and lots of walking paths around if you want a stroll afterwards. Older kids might find this park a bit boring as everything is on the smaller side for little kids.
Went during the Christmas carols with a friend and thier children. Open plan Park is very nice and not too close to the road. Very easy to see where the kids are getting. Rock climbing wall, slides, stepping stones and a toddler play area.
Excellent play equipment. No BBQ or rubbish bins. There is a water fountain for humans and doggies so that's a bonus though.
I approve of this playground. One of the best vistas around. It has a great feel and interesting layout.
Great little park, well maintained with interesting equipment and activities for young children.
An amazing playground with a number of installations for kids and with beautiful views and walking trails all around
Great little park. Lots of equipment for the younger set. Basketball 1/2 court and lots of tracks for bigger kids.scooting and bike riding. No facilities and no bins - so take home what you bring with you. Parking is on the side streets.
Great park for littlies and plenty for them to do.
There's a bike track surrounding the playground and lots of different equipment for them to explore.
A few benches undercover if you are lucky enough to get them!
Unfortunately there's no toilets though so keep that in mind.
Good little park but there are no garbage or recycling bins nearby and only a limited number of parking spaces within a reasonable walking distance
Great little park. Wish it was enclosed but it's still new so maybe in the future, would be a good idea:)
A small yet charming play area comprising of vast grassland, a small playground and great public art.
Excellent condition and many options for different age and stage of children. Does not have any toilet facilities.
No toilets and not enough shelter. This is a park designed for kids so these two things are must haves. Really disappointing because it has potential. There's a good amount of equipment and it's a good looking area but no toilet and minimal shelter? Won't be going there in the middle of summer.
Perfect for 18 month old kids. I've taken my son here a few times and the equipment is really great. Colorful, new and safe for kids
This is a great neighbourhood Park. It has a activities for all ages, babies to teens, is landscaped well, and is near a pond for those whose kids like to watch the birds and fish (and occasional turtle!) The musical play equipment is particularly lovely as is the extra wide slide for letting you go down with your child. The only drawbacks are weather exposure: there is little to no shade in the summer heat and it's very exposed to the freezing winds in winter. I don't see why they couldn't have planted some trees in the middle or covered a few more areas with shade covers.
Great little alternative to the busier Moncrief park. Enjoy it while it's quiet, I expect it will become just as busy once Throsby is more established. Only downside is the lack of public toilets nearby.
This place is awesome and I love the basketball court there. The only thing to make it better would be BBQ's, bins, and toilets. It's good for kids when they are bored on the weekend. A shaded area would be nice as well to sit down to watch the kids. I love the slides and swings.
