Thai Cornar Restaurant reviews
52Absolutely awful, the broccoli in laksa has gone bad and tastes like from rubbish bin. Service take long and staff attitude is slack and poor quality.
Total rip off food. Poor quality overpriced. Just ordered a paw law salad takeaway. Almost half of container was stuffed with lettuce (wilted with sauce) and rest is grated carrot and a few bits of tomato with very little paw paw. Called to complain that Som Tum doesn’t have lettuce but owners not interested in re doing order. Plus the website ordering system said it was 15 bucks but they charged over $20. Don’t go to this rip off place.
To be honest, very bad service. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant ever. I ordered a yellow curry that supposed to be no spicy bit when it came it was completely spicy and the pumpkin was still row, when o asked for help they didn’t care at all.
Worst masaman I have ever had served.
It was presented in large chunks of beef which were increadibly tough and uneatdible, on complaining was told that the beef available was limited.
This was a lame excuse, would not recommend this place
TERRIBLE!
After we ate we saw a crazy RAT running around the restaurant
And still made us pay for our food?
That was the worst Thai food I have ever had. The satay chicken was drowning in fat to the point there was minimal satay even in the dish. The massaman beef curry was also drowning in fat and the sauce was thin like water and had no peanuts. The pad Thai was very average with no lemon. The only dish they actually seemed to get half okay were the spring rolls. We spent $100 at that place and it was just horrible food. Will never go back there.
Food was ok but the service was horrible. Waiter was quite cold and impersonal from the moment we walked in. We ordered before other people but received our order way after. Would not return here. Plenty of other nice restaurants with professional and courteous service around.
Never go back again. EVER. Horrible service, the waiter who served us was really rude, even slammed bowls on the table. Very unprofessional and cold. To be fair, food is ok, but no thanks.
Food was not so good and customer service was so bad. Guy was so rude not going back again. Very disappointed
The beef was rotten, and another table sent their chicken back. Can't believe they served off food.
Last time we visited the food was ok and the service fast, but was very disappointed this time.
Except chicken curry, rest was pretty ordinary with almost no Thai taste. Money bags had literally no chicken in them. Restaurant’s overall hygiene was pathetic. The floor carpet was full of food particles scattered all over. Looked like the place was not cleaned for ages.
Very disappointing. The dishes we had bear almost no relationship to the Thai originals. Eg. LAPH is highly spiced, lightly cooked ground beef, eaten in a lettuce leaf. Ours was overcooked, tasteless mince served with a few scraps of limp shredded lettuce. The other dishes were soggy, soaked with”Thai sauce”.
Ordered last night and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. So went for a walk around the block and was back at the front door in 8 minutes. I saw that someone was bring food back in a bag and the worker at the restaurant was laughing so must have given that person the wrong order. They picked up the correct bag and left. I got served and they handed me the bag that the other person brought back. I asked if that person opened my dish or anything similar and the person serving the other customer done nothing. I asked for the dishes to be re-cooked. I was told 10 minutes, in 2 minutes he brought me the food. So all meals were precooked and just heated up in the microwave as the plastic container had cling film over it then the plastic lid.
Food was below average for thai food. Would not recommend going there.
Really average food with a lack of any thai flavour. Green chicken curry, tasted like it was watered down, not made with coconut milk but something else. Go elshwhere
Not a fan of the Beef Massaman Curry - no peanuts, very little coconut milk, large chunks of fat in the meat. This aside it was still hot and flavourful (just not the flavour I was looking for).
Went in for lunch at this place, had limit of 12 customers as it is not a big restaurant. We had to provide our names and one contact phone as per CoVid restrictions, what got me was they were using sticky notes. Hmmm.dont think our info will be safe but that's ok, just got to do what is required.
We ordered beef Jungle curry, grilled chicken and a fish from their House Specials. Jungle curry was a bit too watery IMO, but the other 2 dishes were nicely marinated and prepared.
Service was by a friendly wait staff and within 20 minutes, there were already 9 customers seated inside. The next two were shown to tables outside. Nice sunny day, so no complaints.
All in all, pleasant experience.
Great place for authentic Thai! Staff were very friendly and food was great and reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend
Ordered some takeout. It was pretty mediocre food, but the price was okay and they are pretty fast. Nothing outstanding.
We ordered take-away on a Saturday night and when we went to pick it up the place was totally empty - should have been a sign. Unfortunately the food was very bland, although the spring rolls were good.
Tasty Thai food for good price. Made to order. One of the few places when you ask for Spicy they make it spicy. We wouldn't mind going and eating there again. Take away service was good.
