Soi-8 Thai on Griffith reviews
22I had Pad Thai, larb, basil chicken and green curry and everything is so tasty. Love the wok work on Pad Thai. The meat is and noodles were caramelised. I had leftover pad Thai the next day and the noodles were still chewy:)
I usually get takeaway but decided to take visiting family to dine in. Quiet night so a quick service was delivered with beautiful food. A variety of dishes all with their own unique flavours. Didn’t disappoint!
Not what it used to be: (Was there a change of cook/owner? The service is charming but the beef salad was full of gristle, the worst I have ever eaten in fact. Thank god my dog can take a bit of spicy food.
First night in Canberra, very lucky to try No. 8 Thai food, tastes good, easy parking outside of the restaurant.
Our first visit and found the restaurant to be quite good, friendly staff and the atmosphere was very good. Our meals arrived in good time and were most enjoyable and reasonably priced. If back visiting that side of Canberra again we would more than likely come back to No 8.
Aries Yu, it seems you are a serial complainer as all your reviews are critical of different business. Seems like you got what you wanted.a free feed.
So disgusting of the food, and the bad customer service. This is the first time try no. 8 Thai in Griffith. At the first, the food is fine, we do take a photo. But when you nearly finish the fish, we found the steel of brushing.it’s dangerous if we haven’t see. And we report to the restaurant, she just pass the buck and said they just do the fish. We refused to pay the fish, because the waitress just say sorry about the fish. No any attitude, even she said we bring the steel to the restaurant. Plz check the cctv, I will report this food safety anyway. At last, we haven’t pay the fish, just need the sorry honestly. The worst custom service in Canberra. The chicanery waitress I have never met before. By the way, the waitress even missing the order. So angry of the customer service.
We have dined here many times and always had wonderful food. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Very friendly staff.
What a lovely place. Great food with exceptional customer service and a relaxed atmosphere. We'll be back for sure.
Great customer service and food. Took the family the for lunch, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Pad Thai was delicious.
Tasty food in a simple and cosy setting. Very good customer service.
Recommend the barramundi in sweet and sour sauce, panang curry with prawn and the crispy pork with basil. Mixed entree and pad Thai was average. Coconut rice was yum!
Nothing fancy. A tasty and good value chicken green curry and rice between two was all we needed on a Sunday night after getting back from Perisher. Thanks for staying open on Sunday nights!
Have been going to this restaurant from 2009. This place is just amazing. The food is very authentic.
We went here the other night with a group of 11 people. Order 14 main dishes and entrees and every dish came out fresh and delicious. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. BYO was a bonus and definitely made it easy when paying for everything at the end of the night. Highly recommend this place.
Food was OK. Nothing fancy. Unfortunately the restaurant that used to be here has been taken over, so no flaming angel prawns anymore. A very very limited vegitarian menu, so much so that I won't return as there really isn't much to choose from sadly.
Pad Thai was to sweet. They should provide the condiments so you can make things to your taste condiments you get in Thailand are sugar, vinegar, dried chilli and fish or soy sauce. These condiments are mainly used for Pad Thai, fried rice and noodle soup.
Food was good, but was a really terrible service.
After more than 40 min wait on the food, my partners food arrived with my side of rice and more 20 minutes without my food (by that time my rice was already cold)
The waiter wasn’t very kind and didn’t bother much about her customers.
I would recommend a take away as the food is good.
Enjoyable Thai food and a MUST to try. We thoroughly love the dishes here. The service was good. BYO drinks. Highly recommended. Parking available.
Very good value for $$$$. Tasty, filling, Just near Tan's restaurant a few shops to their right on Griffith shopping centre.
This is a suburban fav - always a delight to come here for some angel prawns - yummo thank you!
