Shin Sen Teppanyaki Restaurant reviews
39The one only staff member was the chef and he was very nice. His customer service was very good but this didn't make up for disappointing food and drab decor. It is not value for money. My steak was chewy, and the rest of the food was just ok. It certainly isn't worth paying for the more expensive sets.
Fiest time having teppanyaki. Overall I wouldn't get it again. It wasn't bad, the food we had was delicious. However, for $52 I expected more. Once we got to the meat, the steak was closer to rare than medium. A few of us asked to have it cooked longer but were ignored completely!
Decent, not mind-blowing. Go for the lower range options as the higher end options were not really worth the spend.
My first Teppanyaki experience. It was very good. The chef was fun and friendly, and the lady working with him also did a lovely job helping out. The food was incredibly delicious and the chef had some activities throughout the courses. People caught eggs in bowls, we caught rice bowls which also did flips through the air.
I had the most expensive option, the Goka (?) and it was certainly worth it. That scallop at the end was to die for, and my first time eating tsushimi, dip that in some soy with the salt and chilli salt (?) with a chunk of wasabi, wow wow wow! Also the dessert was delicious, I don't usually eat banana but it was cooked so fancy like I had to try it, and yum!
Definitely worth checking this place out if its your first Tappenyaki experience or even if you're a Tappenyaki veteran.
Was so relaxing, beautiful food! My children thought it was the best meal ever. Shin is a great chef! Thank you.
Lovely place, chefs are engaging with their customers and everyone at the table even if they’re strangers aim to join in with everyone else. Food was also amazing!
Had dinner on Saturday 3rd September. The chef tried hard but there was only 1 other staff member in the restaurant. The dinner service ran very late. The poor chef had to finish up the earlier dinner service before being rushed to start our one. The service seemed rushed.
The cost was over $250 for 4 guests.
Wont be going back.
Waited 30 mins after booking time, didn’t even get a drink. Served men first. Extremely bad service
Had a blast!
We booked for a birthday dinner and it didn’t disappoint.
Great selection of food and catered for all tastes (kids, seafood, vegetarian etc.).
The chef and servers were wonderful and very welcoming.
At the end of the meal, when both your kids say, "this is our new favourite restaurant", you know you're onto a winner. Fun, entertaining, and above all else, great food! We will absolutely be back.
First of all taking a deposit of $20 for each person isn’t on.
Secondly for a family of 5 with three kids under the age of 9 and 5, which fed the kids a small amount of satay chicken, fried rice (frozen vegetables) and cooked mix vegetables. Which set us back $29 each child.
As for the parents we only got 5 cubes of Angus beef, some chicken and frozen Fish with some sauce covered the fish.
Overall the tepanyaki atmosphere was brilliant, the kids had a blast, however I felt it was way too expensive for the small amount and not quality of food. Will never go again.
The Saturday taiwan style breakfast is really yum. Such a pity those dishes are not on normal menu
This place was so much fun, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has never experienced Teppanyaki
Not a great restaurant. Could not understand what Chef was saying whilst preparing our meals. On the whole quite pricy in comparison to other Japanese restaurants!
Great place. Had dinner here with friends on the weekend. Great food, friendly and entertaining staff, well kept, clean and tidy. Book early and be prepared to pay a deposit for your reservation, but worth it.
Came here for a birthday on the weekend and was very satisfied with our experience! The chef was a lovely young man and was accompanied by friendly staff. The chef cracked a couple jokes and was having a good time. Highly recommend!
I can't give more than three stars to it
Considering price, food quality was moderate.
I've been to several Tepanyaki restaurant s. This is three even two star.
Took my son for his 18th birthday. Had a great night with great food and friendly staff. Great experience. I recommend you go if you haven't experienced teppenyaki before.
This restaurant is a little bit of a mixed bag. The staff are lovely including the young man that cooked our food. He was cracking jokes and gave us a fun teppanyaki experience. Not to be too judgmental, but you'd come here for the experience not the food. The food is just average, which is slightly irritating when you pay $70 per head.
Overdue review for this worth to try Restaurant.
Food taste good. Serving size and price is reasonable!
